Anyone have any theories why 220, 221, 222, 223, and 224 (center Ice) are completely full but 214 and 215 have a whole bunch of seats? They're the same angle as 220 and 221 and are same Rangers shoot twice sections, just on the other side...

I see 24 in 221 and 26 in 214 and only 6 in 215. I think u only see only ur higher price point in those sections.

My theory is TV.

Your viewpoint from seats on the 31st side of the Garden is the same as it is on television. The logo is upright. You are facing the benches. The Rangers attack right to left twice.

When you are seated on the 33rd st side, your viewpoint is mirrored.

I believe that people want the same view from their seats as they get on television.

I was not going to consider a relocation to the 33rd side of the bowl.

Cheers!

Interesting you say that. My cousin had his upgrade today and he was in Row 14 or 15 of Section 222 (whatever the last row was in the higher price point) and he was looking for something a few rows lower down and if possible perhaps over a section in 223. He prefers the 31st Street side because he likes to be able to see the benches. But when he was playing around with the upgrade tool he found a pair in 212, Row 6. He wasn't sure about it...again, because he prefers the 31st Street side. If I wasn't on the phone with him at the time he might have actually passed on them...but in the end he pulled the trigger.

I can understand his reluctance to pull the trigger.

I have shared seats in old 312 for ~20 years. My view of the ice is burned into my brain. I would have a hard time making a voluntary change. It would take some time getting used to.

That is a sweet upgrade for your brother, btw. Eight Rows and now BELOW the portal, as not to have up and down traffic impacting your enjoyment of the game...

Cheers!

Yup, 8 Rows down, below the portal, and 1 Section over. He is in a higher price point now, but I think the move is well worth the extra $6 or whatever per ticket.

Not sure. Right now on the sideline 200s (209-213, 222-226) there doesn't seem to be much of a difference in 31st vs 33rd (76 vs 74 tickets available) other than 7th ave vs 8th ave where there is a difference in the skating directions. Based on how the availability is distributed, I think it's pretty clear most people want to sit where the rangers shoot twice. I don't think it's clear that there's any preference for the orientation of the ice.

Going from west to east it is 15-14, 0-3, 0-0, 11-12, 50-45.

by my count right now.. there are 389 seats available in the upper bowl, 434 in the lower bowl.

capacity is 17,200, if you take out the 900 seats in the blues and the 300 or so in the west balcony, only 5% of actual inventory is available right now for us to choose from.

When does the upgrade period end?

And there will be seating on the bridge, right? Has that been made available?

ahhhh, you are correct and that makes a ton more sense. I logged in just to play around and that whole corner was all Red. Other than the 400's, the rest of the Garden was green. It stood out like a sore thumb and struck me as quite odd...

I was able to move to Section 208 Row 15, down 2 rows. There are still plenty of seats left in the $53 range. Some lower rows in that range, too. A lot of Row 16's and 17's.
