Those that watch, does Alexandrov look the same or any better?
I've only been able to see chunks of three Springfield games this season but he looks like a completely different player than the player we saw with the Blues. Very assertive, pushing the pace on the rush, making smart decisions with the puck. We didn't see that at all while he was up with the big club.

I'm curious if he's essentially an AHL all-star type or if he can eventually break through.

But any player is going to look different on the Thunderbirds than the Blues. He was PPG in the AHL two years ago, so I’d be more interested to know if he looks different now than he did then. To me that would be a better comparison, but I think he’s probably just a really good AHL player and not much more.

Very small sample size from me this year ( a couple games, chunks of a few more, and highlights), but I concur.

Again, small sample size bit I think his play in the AHL is fairly consistent. He's been a good AHL player the past 2+ seasons. Just stat watching he is 58 points in 63 games over that time, so his 13 in 15 this year us right in line. But also from the eye test, what I've seen, he has played similar. He's made small improvements in his AHL game but no big leaps.

I think he needs to confidence and time to adjust to the speed if the NHL. I'd call him up and play him over Sunny to develop him. Love Sunny, but Sunny is close to cooked, and is not in our long term outlook

Nikita Alexandrov is week-to-week with an injury he suffered Saturday in Hartford. Scott Harrington, who left Saturday's game before the third period, took warmups but won't go tonight. He's considered day-to-day.
