5 goals in 10 GP. Not too shabby. That’s gotta be up there in terms of rookie goal scoring I would think.

That was a great shot by Dvorsky. It was an old-fashioned Saturday nite barnburner in Springfield. Sylvegard is the Swingin' Swede.

See it all here. By the way, great job of editing the highlights. Director's Cut.

You see 5 goals, but he has to control his turnovers. They are Kyrouesque getting too cute and fancy. One led to a breakaway and a goal. He needs more time and maturing his overall game.

The no look backhand passes are great if his team is paying attention. Otherwise, they are just major turnovers.

if that’s the main criticism of Dvorsky that’s a good sign that he’s getting more confident with the puck and trying to make plays instead of deferring. Though I haven’t seen him a play full game in Springfield like Perry…

Yeah, the maturing of going from juniors to pros will happen, a reason why he's not ready yet and shouldn't be an option to fill the hole we have at center right now. Hopefully he's ready around the trade deadline when spots will likely open up.

Oof. Springfield is getting absolutely pelted. Top line with Peca and Alexandrov has been horrendous.

Edit: That flipped quickly

Thunderbirds played an excellent game against a much older experienced top of the division team. There was just no room to skate for either team. I really like the Skinner-Loof pair. Not perfect, but hard to play against and not afraid. Dvo and Kaskimaki along with Sylvie continue to get better together. I think we may be undervaluing Kaskimaki. He can really skate and is very responsible defensively. I see a lower lines top notch PK guy. A more skilled MacEachern. Dvo again needs to clean up the passing. It is frustrating. Then again he is winning and keeping more pucks in board battles. He doesn’t get much time and space either. The other team knows to watch him.

So today, the T birds royally sucked. Ellis kept them in the game like a rock star. No one was exempt from a crap pass that let to a stellar chance the other way. It was that bad. Last minute…holy crap! Light switch came on and they tied it. They did not deserve a point at all. They got smoked.

I saw Loof was recalled. Hopefully, they give him a game or two. He has been very good in a shutdown and penalty killing role. Usually good for one or two huge highlight reel hits too.

All three of those guys are off to better starts than Bolduc and Dean last year.
APOLOGETICS ALERT: Bolduc has a history of starting slowly. Dean played on the bottom-6 last season, but when Bolduc was called, Dean played in the top-6 and produced.

With that said, I'm a little frustrated that Dean is injured and cannot properly develop right now. When it comes to Bolduc, I have patience for him because he has been one of our better forwards.

With that said, I am satisfied with the production coming from Dvorsky, Sylvegard and Kaskimaki. I really hope Sylvegard sticks around for a minute. I wanna see him for 3-4 seasons.

I’m having trouble determining if he and Johannesson are viable prospects or to use a baseball term….AAAA players. I like Sylvegard. He has a mean streak and will hit. Good game last night. Dvo, Kaski, and Sylvie are starting to play like a line and a very good one. DVos assist was Federkoesque. That is how Bernie did it. Skinner is looking like he may be a player. Springfield is looking like it’s starting to gel as a team. Tucker and Robertsson were back in the lineup. That helped.

I think a lot of these guys are depth type similar to what we already have on the roster, sans Dvo. Some might be a bit better than what we have now and some lesser, but likely most are of a similar ilk.
