I pointed out, those are the VINTAGE Jersey (CCM) when I posted that link a week ar so back, yet people still had to rip in that those are NOT the CURRENT THROWBACKS (Reebok) the guys wear today. Like DUH, I said basically that ... but it IS the closest thing You're going to find at the moment as the CURRENT THROWBACKS (Reebok) are NOT for sale anywhere that anyone can find.

True, I'd like to know what the difference would be between these and the Reebok ones aside from who makes them.

The CUT ... how they are designed to fit, VINTAGE are more SQUARE and baggy fit, whereas THROWBACKS have more panels and are more form fitting to body, not good for Fat Guys
The Current THROWBACKS have an additional small band of Purple/Forum Blue along the bottom edge, the VINTAGE's don't ends at yellow/prairie gold stripe.
NHL Logo at base of V-neck THROWBACKS have it, VINTAGE not.
CCM tags on the VINTAGE, Reebok tag on the THROWBACKS.
Lettering might be a little different too ? not sure ...

The Lakers switched to purple and gold prior to the 1966-67 season from blue and white which they wore for their first 6 seasons in LA. The change of colors coincided with the team's move to The Forum.
The Kings wore purple and gold in their inaugural 1967-68 season. Jack Kent Cooke chose the colors because they are the colors of royalty.

I just got a Quick jersey from website above. It looks great! But, now I'm hearing rumors that they might be are official 3rd jersey's soon. Which will probably mean the reebok version will be easier to come by.

There are also some rumors floating around that Meigray will be getting game worn throwback jerseys to sell this year. The real question will be how much you want to spend.
And as was mentioned the Lakers wore their jersey's for one year before the Kings but the franchise had already been awarded. And with the same owner having teams in the same building you could almost count on the color scheme had been chosen. So really the two teams colors came into play at the same time. It's just they never went away and were the favorite child in LA so everyone thinks we are copying them.

Zero. Kings had it first. Purple = royalty = Kings.
Lakers wore the colors first, but they got their colors from the Kings.

Hmm, I seem to remember them being on sale at staples center a year or two ago at one of the main kiosks. Does anyone have a reliable site for cheap jerseys?

the ones they sold at Staples were the CCM version - different cut, different fabric, slightly different color as pointed out earlier.
meigray will be selling this years legends set. the team has one more Legends game, but it is unknown at this time if they will use the jerseys they wore a week ago in the COL game. meigray will be selling them, whether its one or two sets is still unconfirmed. it is also unconfirmed if they will be doing auction style or a BIN format.
as usual Kings fans that want to get these jerseys are largely left out in the cold. your only recourse are fakes, old CCM versions which are harder to find, or a 2nd mortgage on the house to afford the gamers on meigray

but it could just be the photo ? You also gotta remember the OLD School jersey had a lot more fabric, so when laid flat it looks much bigger than the newer EDGE Reeboks.

Maybe a tad bit, but might just be the picture. I know the crown on the jerseys the team wears for Legend Nights (Reebok) is a lot bigger than the original used to be.
I have to say, I've been getting a lot of my jerseys from cool-jerseys.com
I know it looks like a shady website but the delivery was on time and the quality was pretty good.
$33 for a jersey. How can you say no to that?
From my knowledge they look and feel like authentic reebok jerseys. I spoke to the guy via email named "Bone" and he mentioned to me that these are overstock jerseys that they made for reebok.
If you order 10 or more jerseys you get free shipping.

those are awful. i see them posted on ebay all the time and report them. they aren't overstock they are counterfeit. nothing more, nothing less. the logos, the numbers, the font and stripes are all out of proportion. i know they aren't overstock, because the proportions aren't correct thus they don't meet the proper specs of the jersey. but hey if your all for perpetuating the illegal market, have at it

I won't go as far as to call it "FAKE" ... but it's NOT the CURRENT THROWBACK jersey, as the current one has a REEBOK tag across the top back NOT RBK or LOGO anymore.

And looking at it ... NO NAME PLATE ... they only wore those ONCE, the 1st game of 40th Season against the Canucks 2010-11.
I've noticed that the logo on the back of the jerseys isn't the cross anymore. It's now a full text of "Reebok". The "RBK" promos are also no longer used.
