I'm hoping they put Tampa in a tough spot tomorrow with a win. They control their own destiny with Tampa and Ottawa being two of their last four games.

I picked third not because of their schedule down the stretch but Toronto's. The Leafs last four games has them squaring off with Tampa, Washington, Columbus and Pittsburgh. Woof!

Please don't say leafs are back. Hockey universe isn't the same with them playing better plus you're a lucky one living far away from leaf land radio. Nausiating.

Based on young talent on Leafs and Bruins power house top line soon to be supplanted by a boatload of rookies this is going to be where it's at

Can feel it folks get ready for the new rivalry and Leafs bias

Voted Third in Atl, only because I really think that is a good spot for them. We beat Tampa tomorrow, I just can't see them not staying ahead of TOR with the week they have ahead. Hopeful and cautiously optimistic.

Ottawa is in free fall mode, and the Bruins are surging. I think they ride this wave heading into the playoffs and take second in the Atlantic.

Sens are in real trouble, those injuries piling up. CBC said on Saturday that if this was the playoffs Karlsson could have played but Methot injured, Ceci left the game over the weekend and a guy who won`t get half the ink that Karlsson does but IMO is so valuable to that team is Zack Smith who, last I heard also injured.

Burrows played on the weekend but is apparently not 100%. They are ripe for the picking but it all comes down to our boys just continuing to do what they`ve done, win, and win ugly I don`t care, just win

Not a non call, but a questionable call on the bruins with 5 mins left to put the leafs on the PP. Mathews with the winner.

a play that we see about a half dozen times a game that doesn`t get called, let alone in the final 5 minutes in a game involving two teams fighting for their playoff lives and one of those teams being an absolute cash cow for the NHL. I watch/listen to quite a bit of media stuff here based out of Toronto and surprisingly, even they were shocked the call was made

How the Boston Bruins can make the playoffs, with Tiebreakers

Posted in Stanley Cup of Chowder by Cornelius Hardenbergh
There are a lot of ways the last week of the season can play out. Here are the ways it can happen that lead to the Boston Bruins making the playoffs:

  • Bruins beat Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. On Tuesday, it’s win and we’re in!
  • Any 4 points
  • 3 points and Tampa loses one
  • 2 points and Tampa loses one in regulation
  • 1 point and Tampa Bay and Islanders lose
  • 0 points and Tampa Bay and Carolina lose (little different scenario)

This league kind of sucks when you think about it when you get less credit for a regulation win then you do an OT/SO loss.

Reg should be 3 pts, 2 for OT w and 1 for OT loss.

They really should do 2 pts reg win, and 1 pt for OT/SO win. You should never get a point for losing, ever.

Yeah, couldn't stomach a Leafs series. The fans are the worst.
Exactly man. When Boston came back in game 7 I left them all alone. My roommate was a Leaf fan and we avoided each other for a week. I was watching in my basement and he was watching in his room. My uncontrollable celebration when Bergy tied it and then won it was already probably hard enough to hear but after that I left all Leaf fans alone. 75% of them would not do the same...

Those ROWs might become extremely valuable in the end.

In a perfect world this is true, but until they do away with the shootout, they need to award a point for losing that. I personally as a fan would have a massive problem not getting a single point after 65 minutes, and losing in a 1v1 competition.
