Wow....that not kayak that's a boat :)

A skinny skiff.

Is that an anchor rig on the one end?
How much does it weigh?

There is a mounting point on the back port side for a shallow water power pole anchor. The motor is not in the picture, but the front of the boat accommodates an included 45 lb thrust minn kota trolling motor with spot lock, which is a super nice feature. Weight without the motor is around 120 lbs, so it ain't light. I'll be getting a trailer for it soon.

I pondered on a small boat instead, but this fits me much better. It's a big initial investment, but it's one time. The boat hull and deck each have a lifetime warranty and the motors are pretty bullet proof. I won't need to get the trailer inspected, I won't need to title the boat. I can get this and one other kayak on the trailer, which will fit in my garage for storage. There is basically no where I can't go. Only limited by range which is the biggest drawback. But all the pros outweigh the cons IMO.

Awesome stuff. Lots of luck with it!

Admired the top shelf Rags trolling at Hobby's today. The corned beef ain't too shabby either.
I love your Probert Upper Deck avatar.

Mostly cause Troy Crowder put that cut under his eye! :)

This is only 13.5 feet, so your canoe is bigger! And also a lot cheaper

And hey, you finished the race. That's something, right?

Prices everywhere are out of hand.

And this 3% added for credit card use really bothers me.

i've done plenty of different things in life but never made home made english muffins... they're on the tray shaped doing the second proof of the dough.

and i never knew that this was a skillet or pan bread for method... one day my brain will explode with a volume of information and the second big bang will happen. :sarcasm:

(yes, i'm baked)

First day today shooting a bow after 12 sessions of physical therapy + home exercises.

Overall pain has subsided, I don't wake up in the middle of the night with pain but I'm still not in shooting condition.

Got a pair of 25 lbs limbs which is 10 lbs less than I was shooting at 8 years old. Took 10 shots and had a little bit of discomfort...feels more achy than pain...so I stopped after 10.

Hopefully I can get the strength up quickly. I think I need more PT.

Safety first. Take it slow. Did your rehab specialist give you a program to follow? If not ask for one.

I was given exercises early in the PT that I am supposed to keep doing and a series of warmups that I need to do before I shoot with rubber bands for shoulder stability.

I’d try to develop a number of reps to increase regularly so you can slowly progress with the act of shooting. Treat them like weight lifting reps or something similar .

Today is actually my 30th wedding anniversary. We did a fancy restaurant on Sunday and we will go to a favorite local haunt tonight. Wife is out having her hair done and I'm trying to avoid any excess misery at the office. Two lawyer, three kids, multiple golden retrievers, and now a kitten and she hasn't tried to kill me in my sleep. That's the definition of a successful marriage.

30 years?! Just be lucky 30 years of marriage didn’t kill you. Some people don’t make even a fraction of that!:sarcasm:

But seriously congrats on 30 years!

Congratulations!

Speaking of anniversaries, my wife and I just passed 11 years from the day we met.

We took today off to celebrate: we got a couples massage, then went out for lunch at a new place that opened up nearby.

Thats great. We are in ten times less in marriage. But 13 years in close relationships/12 years living together. Would be great to celebrate 30 years one day. Hope you still feel it. Looks like you feel it. Really happy for you. Wish you more retrievers. And grandchildren for your next anniversary.
