I'm always happy to see anything that James Dolan owns lose. He's an absolute low life scum bag. MSG is the most overated arena in the entire world and I'm always happy to see any fans that see games there go home miserable. Can't stand any teams wearing blue. f*** em all.

Bon Jovi was a fan apparently: (from Google) Bon Jovi included a thank you to the Minutemen on their album "Slippery When Wet" in 1986 as a way to acknowledge their influence on the band's music and their appreciation for the Los Angeles punk rock scene. Bon Jovi was a fan of the Minutemen, and their style of fast, energetic, and politically charged music resonated with him.

My office is near so many venues that play live music, but I'm too busy in my personal life to watch a show. Rock music is very much still alive, but you have to venture out into the real world in order to find new bands. You're definitely not going to find them on the radio and people who write about music seem to overlook them.

I've found that seeing a band, following them on Instagram, and then following other bands that they promote in their IG stories is a good way to find new music.

yep. these days i rarely feel like leaving the house to trek all the way downtown to do anything....shit, there was a show this last sunday, an early 6pm one and i had no motivation to go

It's a young person's game for sure. In Brooklyn, the people who were going to shows 10-15 years ago in Williamsburg, Bushwick, etc. have moved to neighborhoods to the south and are parents today. It's pretty easy to tell which ones did that. They don't have time for the bands today. It was kind of lucky that my wife and I went to one a couple of years ago that got me back into following the scene here.
