Thread About Nothing (part # who cares)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I am thankful I work from home and live in an area surrounded by 25-35 mph zones. Plus, I rarely leave Belmar and walk/bike everywhere. Only times I drive on a highway is when I go to Metropark when I do have to go to the city for work, or for Devils games of course.

I also park my ass in the right lane at 70 on the parkway. There is no reason to go any faster and thats me saying that and I have a Jag F Type. I am very cautious driving. I try to foresee every possible danger, especially at intersections. I have a dashcam and also have the window breaker/seat belt cutter in the center console. Everyone should have both and if you need a reason, look up that awful tunnel crash recently where people were trapped and burned to death.

Life is precious, always be aware and ready when traveling.
How come you don't just take the train from Asbury or Long Branch to Newark Penn?

Oh good god, thats awful lol. Thats like a 90 min train
One of them is direct isn't it? I went to opening night at the rock and had no clue what we were doing so we took the train from Bayhead. Literally stopped everywhere and I had to transfer somewhere. Needless to say we haven't taken the train again.

Its so many stops.

Its 100 mins if I do Belmar cause I have to transfer at Long Branch.

Long Branch is a ten min drive then 90 mins train.

A 35 min drive to Metro and then 20 min train is the absolute fastest way

Makes sense. I live further south so I get on the parkway at 74 then just go all the way to the turnpike and then cut across on Raymond Blvd. Not a bad drive but with tolls going up and parking being what it is it has actually cost more to get there than it does for the ticket sometimes.

NJDevs26 , pardon the off-topic question but I am unable to DM anyone (it gives me a "server error" message each time). Is this just me or is this still an issue with the servers?

Interestingly enough, I notice that when we @ someone, it gives a server error as well.

It just showed that you quoted me but you didn't. Guess they're still working out some bugs.
