I use to go flying a lot with my Buddy. Hes an airforce captain and would allow me to take the wheel. Here are some pics of me flying over Belmar down to Bay Head

Needless to say, I stopped doing this when I realized the amount of small plane incidents there are. I dont have faith on 2-4 decade old planes that are shared via a rental system for pilots to get their hours in

Fun fact, I also went skydiving that summer, NEVER AGAIN lmao

I've been on a little plane a handful of times. Always in the Caribbean. Belize, Mexico and the flight from Key West to the Dry Tortuga's. Feels like you're sitting on lawn mower 10k in the air

Check out Tropic Air in Belize. They literally drop people off island to island on tiny planes like it was a bus. It's so weird hitting a grass strip letting a passenger out, turning around up and out to the next island.

I couldn't ever imagine myself playing golf.

Between archery, fishing and fly tying I have enough hobbies.

This is the Chubby Chernobyl Ant....maybe the best name of all flies... it's a monstrosity of foam, rubber legs and polypropylene yarn.... I'm not sure why fish eat it...I personally don't think it looks like anything in nature but they do love it

I was at the intersection right after it happened because I was headed to Shoprite which is right there. Just a complete mess. Apparently the ass driving the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed all over the island, flew over the bridge and slammed into the car. The cops in Toms River were apparently waiting for him to come over the bridge. Wish they would have used spikes or lined up their vehicles. Let the little asses kill themselves.

Not to turn this into a different discussion but this is essentially right in my hometown and an area I frequent but I hope EVERY SINGLE ONE of the kids in the BMW get the maximum punishment possible. 17 year old unlicensed driver, with the owner of the car in the car, and another passenger ran from the cops at 120mph in a 35, crossed the Seaside bridge at the same rate of speed, and then down Rt 37 which is a 50MPH, and smashed into these four people who did absolutely nothing wrong. Those scumbags also live-streamed themselves running from the cops. I hope they all rot in the darkest of hells. f*** them.

Just awful. Young drivers are not good under the best of circumstances. What a preventable tragedy.

It's tricky for sure. The areas where these scumbags were doing this dumb shit aren't areas where pitting them really could've happened without a worse outcome aside from the Seaside Bridge which is obviously not ideal. I hate that this happened. I hate that two people lost their lives because morons wanted to show off and run from cops. As a parent it scares the hell out of me because my children will be driving before I know it and it's something I, nor they, have control over with respect to how others drive.

I mean it sounds like they went into lava and then back almost to the gsp that’s really really far to be speeding. It’s off season down there they couldn’t do anything on 35 in lava or ortley? Just sad for sure. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t but wish they tried to stop them on the island that would’ve limited the risks

This reminds me that @NjDevsRR and me were having this conversation the other day about how awful driving has become around here and I wanted to buy a dash cam because of how bad drivers have been post covid. I gotta get on that.
