Rough week for me last week. My dad died on the 5th. I feel more relieved than sad because the past year or so, he was living without dignity in a memory care facility. He had dementia as a long-term effect of full brain radiation in 2007, and pandemic isolation really kicked it into high gear. If not for that, his deterioration would have been more gradual, perhaps another 5 years. Luckily, the entire family was there- my mom, my sister, both of our spouses, and my foster baby. I'm fortunate to have been there, and so was my sister since she lives on the other coast.

Never tried them but seriously doubt they are better than Rutt's Hut, Hot Grill or Johnny & Hanges.

Well I hear Johnny & Hanges ain't what it used to be...not sure on that these days.

Johnny & Hanges and Libby's used to be spectacular. Libby's closed and Johnny & Hanges changed hands in the 90's....I heard when they were sold the recipes didn't come with the sale.

Had venison burgers tonight. First tasting of the Kansas whitetail. It was phenomenal. Maybe the best venison I've had.

The most meat I've ever gotten from a east coast/NJ/NY/PA whitetail is roughly 60 lbs. But high 30's/40 is more like the average...this animal yielded 97 lbs. Unbelievable.

Not sure how I got it out of the field and into the back of my car by myself to be honest. I'm still sore a week later.

I remember driving across Canada in 1997 somewhere between Sault St Marie and Thunder Bay on the TransCan highway and we passed a billboard on the side of the road next to a bar that said "home of Chris Simon and Denny Lambert"...I remember saying to my wife imagine the shit that went on in that bar. I knew he was First Nations...I didn't know about his hunting.

So many NHL players hunt. I usually just pay attention to bowhunters.

Brad Marchand is an avid bowhunter and actually owns a lodge/outfitting business in Newfoundland with Kevan Miller who used to play for the Bruins also.

Obviously Scott Stevens and then Mike Fischer, Eric Gryba, Louie DeBrusk have all been pretty open about bowhunting...but I think a lot of guys keep it quiet to avoid any potential backlash or controversy.

I’ve had it with trying to renew my sponsorship.

It says my card is no good or that card can't be used to make the purchase. f*** that shit. I just bought lunch with it two hours ago.

My Apple ID that I've had for 11 years was also deleted last week with no warning. Now I can't use my Apple music and I'm afraid to lose the shit in my Apple wallet if I make a new account. And I can't even get new apps.

I'm so pissed about that too. I bet I'm gonna have to go one day without ESPN+ before I realize they weren't able to bill me through Apple pay and I have to go through their app.

Ohhh, I do know how to fix cars! BUT! It's a huge but.....I don't typically work on them for other people, unless it's someone else that also knows what they're doing and I'm helping them. I've helped friends when they needed an extra two hands.

It's kind of like how I won't cut other people's hair, but I'll cut my own. Not because I don't want to help someone fix their car, I just have anxiety that I'll screw something up with their car or their hair or their plumbing work or whatever. So, I just stick to either my own stuff or someone else who just needs an extra hand.

I have a friend who could have got you something years ago. He made a small fortune at a young age doing that kind of stuff. He's too busy doing other things these days to find cars and flip them, but 20-25 years ago we (he) could have gotten you something and even had it shipped or brought it you himself!

My account has been mysteriously just deleted or disabled or whatever.

I don't know why. This happened a week or two ago. I was even paranoid that I wouldn't be able to pull my tickets up to be scanned at the hockey games last week, which was no problem. I can still use the phone.

Can I just make a new account? Can I get all my Apple Music library back or do I have to start over new?

I can try it and screen shot what it's telling me if you can't understand what I mean here.

I have tickets in my Apple wallet to a concert I bought for my friend early next year. It's still in the ticketmaster app, but I added it to my Apple wallet. I am afraid I will lose those tickets from my wallet if I make a new Apple ID.

So now I don't know if I should just not screw with it until March when the concert is (cause I can stll use the phone) or if there's such a simple fix for this that nothing will be lost.

I scribbled out my name and email. Not that I care if people on here know my info. But I don’t want lurkers (I think I may have a lurker here who spies on me because I told them my username) know my stuff. So I scribbled out my name and email.

I never logged out, I never got anything saying it’s been disabled or done away with. Other than an email from a suspicious sender that wasn’t Apple. Once I saw they wanted my credit card info I didn’t go any further, as I knew it was a scammer. The email said App Store but it wasn’t really an Apple email. And they obviously know I’m having trouble.

I think you have to try to recover it. Try to log in to your Apple ID and if you have the option to reset password give that a try. The catch as I recall is you have to have given them an email for your account that you can access even if your Apple ID is down.

My ESPN+ should be billed in a few days, which I somehow (not even on purpose) had that billed through my Apple account. Actually, last season I was getting billed TWICE per month for ESPN+ through both ESPN AND Apple.

I had to call ESPN and they told me we can shut the billing down from ESPN because it's easier because I had a guy on the phone and I just keep getting it billed with Apple pay. So that's what I did.
