Tinordi is AHL bound, will be a protector in the minors for our young guns. Can pop up for a game or two when we play some heavyweights.

A lot of people are expecting to see Kuzmenko traded by the TDL.
I expect that too as extending him will likely be expensive since he's currently making $5.5m a year.
However can we ever seriously expect to be able to get a 1st rnd pick for him?

Already got one 1rst with Kuzmenko AND a AAA RHD prospect in Brzustewicz.

Kuzmenko is a much better player than portrayed by the Canucks.
With the cap war chest having almost 20 million today, there will be many options available for improvement. Three ways trades, at the TDL and taking on a bad contracts.

I do think it is possible for the Flames to contend for 4th in the division, maybe an outside chance at 3rd but a ways ahead of San Jose and Anaheim..

If Kuzmenko scores at his usual rate then a 1rst + is likely and more than possible. Healthy 35+ goal scorers in their prime are valuable

the only rental winger to return a 1st last year at the deadline was Henrique and he came with Carrick and frankly the Oilers massively overpaid, in part because they had no other assets to trade. Even Jake Guentzel only returned a conditional 1st.

My bold opinion is that Huberdeau and Kadri will combine for less than 82 points this year

Barring a Kadri trade I would take a heavy bet that this does not happen.

Glad to see they combined for 129 points.

I realized a while ago that poster is just here to f*** with ppl. Engage if you want to spent hrs having a circular argument and accomplishing nothing (which is a favourite past time of mine), but otherwise I wouldn't take what they say too seriously lol.

Whelp... I guess I didn't offer much in terms of predictions, but said I'd be elated if they were competitive every night. I was mainly cracking jokes about drinking. The boys made it a solid year, one that is appropriate for remembering 14-15. This season was certainly a roller coaster ride.

Maybe it's the trauma talking but I could see a future where the Flames are hovering around a playoff spot into February.

Yeah....

Shit they were in it all the way to game 81. Finished 2pts back of a team going to the finals for the 3rd straight year. Just don't have it in us to suck that bad I guess. The more I watch this draft class the less I'm upset on missing out on a top 10 pick though.
