He turned 24 years old over the summer. He is in his third season in North America/the NHL after going in the 2nd round back in 2018. He has been promoted to Top Line/Top PP for the Columbus Blue Jackets. He has begun the season with 8 points in 5 games.

What do you think of his game now and moving forward?

He's been awesome. Marchy and Monahan have instant chemistry. He's quickly grown into our most consistent forward.

I get he's been injured, but I dont understand the hate for the Monahan signing. He's been exactly what this team needed.

Going back to his junior days, no surprise about this at all. The kid had it. For all the cries in Podkolzin, Michkov, and similar threads, Marchenko and Morozov are the ones who should have had a legitimate beef with how SKA handled them. The fact that he wasn't even on the KHL roster for the playoffs definitively proved there is bias against some players.

good goal scoring, decent playmaking, good puck skills, responsible. He's improved a ton since his rookie season and now is actually on a line with good chemistry. Last couple years line construction was throw who should on paper be the best out there together and try and force it until something happens. He did work well with Chinakhov-Voronkov but the last coach didn't like the creative hockey they were playing

Whenever the Blue Jackets play my local team and the play-by-play announcer says 'Kirill Marchenko' - due to the unfamiliar sounding first name my mind automatically hears that as 'The Real Marchenko', making it sound like he's some kind of hockey magician performing in the arena.

He can be a 30/30 guy, but I’m not sure if he could get to 40/40. But either way, happy to have him! Especially when our first rounder that year was Liam Foudy.

Good player, also a beauty of a personality. He’s easily become a fan favorite.

Leads the team in scoring with 14g-26a in 36 games, Marchenko-Monahan-Voronkov have been a handful. He has points in 7 straight with 13 points over those 7 games.

6th most points amongst right wingers and leads the NHL in +- for right wingers at +17 for a team that is -6 for the season.

Even for a Blue Jacket he's underrated.

He's our best player outside of Werenski. It's crazy how the play is just constantly in the offensive zone when he and Monahan are on the ice. Helps he has a rocket of a shot too. I know Fantilli and Johnson are great, but I think Marchy is the future face of the franchise.
