He's been awesome. Marchy and Monahan have instant chemistry. He's quickly grown into our most consistent forward.

I get he's been injured, but I dont understand the hate for the Monahan signing. He's been exactly what this team needed.

Going back to his junior days, no surprise about this at all. The kid had it. For all the cries in Podkolzin, Michkov, and similar threads, Marchenko and Morozov are the ones who should have had a legitimate beef with how SKA handled them. The fact that he wasn't even on the KHL roster for the playoffs definitively proved there is bias against some players.

good goal scoring, decent playmaking, good puck skills, responsible. He's improved a ton since his rookie season and now is actually on a line with good chemistry. Last couple years line construction was throw who should on paper be the best out there together and try and force it until something happens. He did work well with Chinakhov-Voronkov but the last coach didn't like the creative hockey they were playing

Whenever the Blue Jackets play my local team and the play-by-play announcer says 'Kirill Marchenko' - due to the unfamiliar sounding first name my mind automatically hears that as 'The Real Marchenko', making it sound like he's some kind of hockey magician performing in the arena.

He can be a 30/30 guy, but I’m not sure if he could get to 40/40. But either way, happy to have him! Especially when our first rounder that year was Liam Foudy.
