She looks very sweet

She is too sweet. I took her to the dog park. She hasnt been there in a week.

As we walk in these 3 like labradoodles on the other side start viciously barking at her. I dont know them or their owners so I had to keep coco on leash until they left their side of the gated fence. Because knowing coco even tho these dogs dont seem friendly at all she would still go over and want to play and may even hop over the fence.

Coco may be the sweetest dog ive had but her dog breed is known to fight bears and coyotes so those 3 poodle things wouldnt have stood a chance.

Some Friday questions:

1) We all remember things from many years ago, like the combination to our lockers in school. What was drilled into your mind from when you were very young - a song, a poem, playing a certain song on a recorder, your first phone number, etc.

2) Have you ever participated in karaoke - how did it go, did you need Dutch courage?

3) What is the most you have won in a lottery or on slots?

4) Since the Olympics are on, have you ever been to a live event - what was it?

5) Do you run in marathons or participate in other types of walks, biking, etc., for charity or not.
1) I still remember my student ID number in the Quincy Public Schools and at UMass Boston / Harbor Campus. Completely useless information.

2) Yes. A couple of times in my younger days. I have the worst voice in the Western Hemisphere. But I own it.

3) I've been to a casino once in the last 25 years. In my 20's I went on a heater at a $10 blackjack table and won about $270. It was big money at the time.

4) Never been. I'd rather go to the Rugby World Cup, which is coming to the U.S. in 2031 and 2033

5) I've done the Best Buddies ride twice. Did the hundo by myself, and 20 miles with my son on a tandem bike. Me and my son doing 20 miles on the tandem is one of my favorite memories. He is a world champion.

I am running the Falmouth Road Race for charity in 2 weeks. I got out of my boot 4 weeks ago after foot surgery, so am still getting in shape. Heading out to run 5 miles tomorrow morning (or so I say).

Lots of phone numbers, locker combinations, exact dates etc. from the past, BUT with the advent of smartphones, I literally could not tell you kids' nor parents cell phone #'s

2) Have you ever participated in karaoke - how did it go, did you need Dutch courage?

Yes, but my main goal is to be entertaining in a humorous way, rather than trying to impress anyone with my vocal talent. Never can go wrong with "Copacabana" or "Last Christmas"

3) What is the most you have won in a lottery or on slots?

Maybe a hundred or so on slots...

4) Since the Olympics are on, have you ever been to a live event - what was it?

1980 Lake Placid USSR v. Canada in Hockey

5) Do you run in marathons or participate in other types of walks, biking, etc., for charity or not.

Not in many, many years...used to participate in the Walk for Hunger back in the day. I should probably look into doing something similar.

One of my hobbies is radio, so I have antennas around the house. I have what is called an AIS antenna on a small 2nd story deck off of my bedroom. Because I am lazy there is about 4-5 feet of extra coaxial cable coiled up on the floor.

Last night at 2:30 we were awakened by a whap, whap on the glass door to the deck. My first thought was a hailstorm, so I opened the louvers and looked out. Nope, no hail. Whap, Whap, Whap again. Heavy droplet of rain? No, nothing is wet.

Whap, whap whap. Finally I look down and there is a small racoon trying to eat my coax cable. I think it thought it was a snake.

Im 38 and freaking out. I hate hurricanes and tropical storms

However looks like its gonna pass me
We are on the other side of Florida. It would have to make a 90 degree turn to affect us.

I don't think it is limited to "old people", lots of people love watching weather systems. I have always been fascinated by weather.
