Sure we didn't deserve to win the game. We were also missing 2 players in our top 6.

Games like this happen. At some point this year we will outshoot a team by 20 and lose. It literally happens to everyone

He hasn't scored much in the past but he has consistently been one of the drivers of offense on this team going back to last year and has looked like a bull in most areas of the ice this season. He's a pretty big next positive overall.
I like his game I’m a big fan imo he’s better than Laff.

My mom is a Korean War veteran nurse .
A decorated American.

I won’t comment on yours .
You realize he doesn't know the first thing about your mom and was just making a silly internets meme/joke how you called the team boring and fat (top heavy pun....get it???) lol really no need to take it personally and actually describe your mom. Be above the fray man! Being sensitive on the internets is so 2015

If anything this team is bottom heavy. I think the best line has been the 4th line.
There are some positives though.
1) Kreider and Zibanejad are putting up points, as unsexy as they may be playing.
2) Panarin will start scoring more regularly
3) Outside of the first game, the defense is playing well.
4) the bottom 6 are playing better than any bottom 6 we've had in recent memory. Goodrow is the only one playing like shit IMO. I like what I've seen from Blais, Rooney, Reaves and Hunt. Even Gauthier has played a few good shifts.
5) Shesterkin is the real deal. That OT last night was the best Rangers goalie display since Hank.

The problem with this team right now is that the top 6 isn't clicking. When/if that starts happening this will be a deadly team.

It's way too early to come to any conclusions like this. This is the NHL version of the week one overreaction in the NFL.
Incorrect - I’ve seen this act before.
Take punches - chip it out - head man pass - counter attack .

It’s dog shit

This team needs speed, but I would not go as far as saying this team is boring.
If you watch some actually boring teams (minnesota, buffalo, arizona, seattle etc) and come back, this is much more fun to watch.

They need Kakko and Strome back. Missing 1/3 of your top 6 against an offense like Toronto with Campbell also playing very well and you take the 2 and run.

Last year at this time:
Complete blowout from Islanders
1-3
Mika couldn't pass or score
Strome was a mess that passed up open shots
Goalies were wildly inconsistent.
Kakko was unimpressive.
Fox and Miller were good.

I think we're fine. Too early.

Once Panarin gets in the groove everything will get better. If Panarin isn't going there isn't anyone we can throw on that line that will carry the load. If Panarin sucks then Strome will suck. Chytil is centering two players who are both struggling right now and Chytil will probably never be good enough to carry a line by himself and there aren't many 2cs that can. Hopefully at least one of Laf or Kakko can become that player that can drive a line by himself. That's when we're a playoff team that can do some damage.

I liked what Gallant did with throwing Panarin on the Mika line. That helped a lot last game. When Panarin isn't going that second line can become an abomination. Especially with no Kakko on it as well. Let Mika carry Panarin until he gets going so that second line becomes a little more stable.

To be honest, I haven't missed Strome at all.

I tend to be reactionary with this team, but this is too much. We've all watched a lot of hockey over the years and we all see things.

The team has issues at center, which i'm sure a going to addressed by Drury at some point this seaon(s).

If you've learned anything over the years, it's hockey is played and won in the postseason... it ain't pretty.

That's not to see we should be a team of bowling pin/Tortorella . You're seeing a lot of growing pains with young players and maybe some players aren't as good as we once thought?

They'll make some moves settle down.
