Post-Game Talk: This one lasted a lifetime

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we are. But if we are, we then have the pick available to move for help if needed. I'm lower on this draft class than I've been on the last few years, and really dont see any difference makers outside of the first couple picks.

I really wanted to watch the Sam ceremony but with the way they played I decided to go to work instead (it's a family business so I could have come later or taken the day off I get paid hourly). I feel like not watching the Sam ceremony was good therapy.

Nucks fans talking about we are the worst team either ever, or that they've seen all season and it's true. When Western conference fans talk about us sucking and being one of the worst, it really tells me it's not just us seeing it. We're lifeless.

To be fair, a worse version of our team kind of kicked their ass back in November and they were talking about how good we were. Someone even came here to post something surprised about the next game or something. I have no idea what happened since then. We improved personnel and yet have two in three games where we totalled 25 shots. The team really just seems like they have no interest in the playoffs.

When you look strictly at the rosters of the two teams, Canucks are punching above or equal to their weight class. Rangers are performing significantly worse than they should. Today was Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas but at the last second Tyson landed a few shots.

Nothing was ever reported, but I'd have to believe words were exchanged -- and don't forget that in all those years JD worked here before leaving, he saw first hand how Dolan operates. I've always wondered if JD took the Columbus job because Dolan went back on a promise to promote him (this is total speculation on my part).

You'll notice Gorts seems to have distanced himself as well.

You can't convince me this team is a combined 74-25 in shots worse than the Flames/Canucks. There is a SIGNIFICANT effort problem with this team. This also the same team that dominated the Leafs without Fox not too long ago and lost because Igor sucks. Effort this season has been absolutely abysmal.

We're the jekyll and Hyde of hockey teams. From one game to the next there is absolutely zero consistency in effort or goaltending. Just one extreme to the other.

I don't know if it's the system not being a fit for our team, or the guys just not trying, but I literally see no effort aside from Cuylle, Borgen, and Shesterkin. Lafreniere and Tro, Kreider, Zibby complete non factors. Only reason Panarin is not in this list is because of how skilled he is, he has more talent in his pinky than Cuylle but Will is out playing him in the effort department
 
Spent the weekend in the bush. Didn’t see any of the game. I’ll take the W but far too little far too late. Get the clubs dusted off, boys will be golfing soon.

I think I will take the “worse” version thank you. The one good thing about getting J.T. I guess, is that the guys with trade protection are probably more likely to waive that protection. The country club era is definitely over, welcome to prison life starring Drury and Miller.
