Dreadful fan base. I’d love to see McDavid never win in Edmonton and then immediately win elsewhere.

Worst conference finals I can remember in a long time.

I feel like teams run out of juice at this point quite often.

2013 Boston swept the penguins and the hawks beat the kings in 5.

Also in two of the past three playoffs, there’s been a sweep in the conference finals. Could be three of four tonight.

Recent years, the playoff format is to blame.

That Hawks/Kings series was also all one goal games if I recall. It was a much closer series than the 5 games would indicate.

- Panthers vs Rangers went six games with 5 of the 6 all one goal games (And 3 of those went OT)
- Stars vs Oilers went six games as well will all 6 games competitive even the 5-2 score game is not really telling story given 5th goal was ENG of a competitive game

If Florida wins tonight, there will have been conference finals sweeps in three of the last four seasons. That's garbage. These playoffs have been pretty f***ing boring, truth be told.

In today's NHL the top 16 teams are as close to parity as we have seen. In any format one would expect most matchups to be close .... but it doesn't necessarily mean the 2 best teams make it to the SC final. And that is the point.

The only bigger joke is the reffing and league DOPS this postseason. Both utterly useless and we know it all starts at the top.

I was less pissed at the refs when the Hawks were in the post season and I actually cared about the outcome.
