As I said in the other thread, he's probably trolling, but the implication of that exact setup is that it was Laughton's Last Supper as a Flyer. Only so many ways for that to happen, and they're not going to waive him and lose him for free.

If you wanted to know why this franchise has been irrelevant a decade plus this is exhibit A.
I hate to dump on Laughton or the other middling player this franchise has championed over the years personally. But good god.
