Glad someone got it.
Glad someone got it.
If he’s got a doctor that says he can’t play, not much they can do. Charlie said Johansen did try to reach out to smooth whatever over with Torts if he would get a chance and the Flyers weren’t interested. They could do an injury settlement. Is anyone (the Flyers? The Leauge?) going to actually check to make sure RJ isn't full of shit?
Holy shit he got paid.
Edit: late
Are they not allowed to get a second opinion in cases like this? Genuine question. If he’s got a doctor that says he can’t play, not much they can do. Cambo seemed resigned to a buyout in his exit interview with the media.Charlie says he thinks Atkinson is bought out, Johansen gets LTIR, Petersen sits on the Phantoms.
Oh right it was schlemko they bought out instead of burying his contract in Ahl.Weise was traded. He was someone they wanted gone, it was like the first thing Fletcher did.
Why not let him play? Put him on double secret probation, and if he acts up, send him home. Maybe they can up his value and sell?If he’s got a doctor that says he can’t play, not much they can do. Aside from the abysmal power play coaching is one of the best asset of this team. Getting the best out of mediocre players is what torts does and mid tier players is what we do have plenty ofAdd? To what?
The Tortorella disaster is only beginning. There going to bleed players away. They won't be anywhere close to a buying situation then. They never rebuilt, and instead they've chained their fate to the most hated asshole in the league.
The issue with drafting projects is by the time they are ready they're old enough to have negotiating power. We need to start getting value+ out of the young guysNo it isn’t. Not unless someone breaks out as a superstar-level player. You have guys who will move on too.
Who the team, or the player? I don't know how that all works because the team has doctors who they've hired, but the players are allowed to seek out their own second opinions, and that's been a point of emphasis from the PA that they have more control over their medical care. Are they not allowed to get a second opinion in cases like this? They just don't want to. Clearly, a line was crossed where another chance is not an advisable option to them, and it doesn't seem it is for anyone else either. Why not let him play? Put him on double secret probation, and if he acts up, send him home. Maybe they can up his value and sell?
The team. I'm thinking of a scenario where RJ says he can't play anymore, but the team doesn't believe him and would rather he be playing in the AHL for some reason instead of on the LTIR. Is there any recourse for the team in that scenario or is it "a doctor signed off on it, nothing they can do"?Who the team, or the player? Johansen found a doctor who wouldn't clear him.The team. Guess it depends on whose doctor signed off on RJ not being able to play initially, his doctor or the team's.
Not sure about the NHL, but in worker's comp law it almost always comes down to dueling doctors over how injured somebody is.The team. Cool nickname ideaWhat the hell. Ivan was terrible
When do we have to buy Cam out? That will be the true Judgement day?And his dad played and coached here, so win-win. The bloodline remains in tact.
Buyout window is in June. When do we have to buy Cam out? That will be the true Judgement day?
Bloodline and Judgement Day haven't really crossed paths much.Did you just miss my reference lmao

Defensively responsible veterans who can actually contribute . None of these guys are good enough to not be 200 ft playersAnd that results in what, exactly?
Not every player needs to be a 200 ft playerDefensively responsible veterans who can actually contribute . None of these guys are good enough to not be 200 ft players
