He got the team back on track after the Canucks took it to us to start the 2nd. He had a shift where he drilled 3 or 4 Canucks into the glass and got them going. He was solid.

Faulk is going to have some ugly nights when he's playing 24+ minutes as the no doubt top RD. Tonight was one of them, but I'm not worried about him being part of the blue line when we have a better RHD to keep him on a more sheltered 2nd pair. Luckily we have one of those in the organization and are finding ways to win even when he has those clearly outclassed nights in Parayko's absence.
2 points against a team we're directly competing with even though we don't have Parayko and Binner didn't have his A game. I'm absolutely not complaining about that. Don't like giving away a point, but we're making the playoffs with 12 more efforts like that.

No way I want Faulk playing top 4 D and he’s way overpriced for 3rd pairing.
He’s made mental mistakes on simple D plays all year. His biggest deficiency is mental. It’s beyond frustrating to watch.

Didn’t you have the same take on Schenn last year? It’s kinda hard to take you seriously when it comes to Faulk. He had an off but has played well during the 10-2-2 run. As for the game tying goal, the Blues cleared the zone after Faulk’s gaffe and it was a comedy of errors by every skater once Hughes got possession.

Got home from a date tonight right when the OT started. Sooo glad I got to see the winner, but it sounds like tonight’s game overall was a fun one(even with the last second VAN goal).

I just got back from the game, and I have to say I'm more disappointed than happy right now despite the 2 points. An 83.3% save percentage in a game like this is not great, and I get that Boeser is a great goal scorer, but Binnington has to get a piece of that final shot in regulation.
I called out the entire squad on the ice at the end of the game.
Schenn was cooked last year and has played better this season. He’s also propped up by getting to play with the best 2 wings on the team.
I don’t really care if “you take me seriously”. I’m not even sure what context you’re using for your opinion. I give legitimate criticism when it’s warranted and some fans can’t take it.
I joined this forum years ago to post that the Blues needed to trade Erik Johnson for a myriad of reasons. I was vilified and even had a couple of my serious posts deleted by the mods because they were accusing me of trolling by suggesting a trade of the #1 overall drafted player. Three weeks later EJ was traded.
I’m not going out on a limb in criticizing Schenn or Faulk. You’re more than welcome to have a different view. I backed up my criticisms last year of Schenn with facts. He went on incredibly long stretches of games with 0 points.

Both Schenn and Faulk will likely be gone sooner rather than later. I can see both staying for at least one more season as they are clearly placeholders right now until our prospects get comfortable in the NHL.

Holloway and Bro making DA look like a genius all year long. Those signings saved this season from complete failure. If the tank trains want someone to blame. The fault lies directly with DA, Holloway and Broberg. Wow Holloway has been great. He looks like a 1st rnd. pick out there and I didn't think this was going to be what we got when we signed him.

Hope he starts Binner vs Shithawks and gives Trashville to Hofer again.
Yes we might not make the playoffs but the Blues showed who wants it more

I was also a little disappointed in the fan base after they played their asses off in that first period and they weren;t getting a standing ovation when it ended.
Oh that's right the game was still scoreless so of course you can't appreciate the effort

Man, what a game! An old fashioned barn burner with high stakes and high intensity throughout. The Enterprise was rocking and really buzzing even an hour before puck drop. Reg. Win would've been nice but a victory is a victory. Hopefully this let's the wind out of the sails of Vancouver over the next couple games. I would like to note how impressive Tucker was last night in all facets of the game. I think he played close to 16 minutes and he was always involved and in the play. Just a completely different player than this time last year and is playing with some real confidence. A couple years ago I offered Jon Marino as a comp in playing style and what he brings with his game. Then, suddenly, he didn't look like he belonged anywhere near an NHL roster. Whatever adjustments he made in Springfield are paying off. His skating, particularly, his lateral movement has improved tremendously and was quite noticeable watching him throughout the night. The boy got his first taste of what playoff hockey feels like and I got as much enjoyment watching him soak in the atmosphere as I did the win. Gotta love this team right now.

The one thing me and my son noticed was he was not playing the puck and chasing hits, especially in the first period. That could cost him and the Blues at some point if he's late with a hit. I'm thinking more in the playoffs than anything as emotions get ramped up even more and players lose focus in the moment.

Yeah, he's done a terrible job. Outside of the team looking fantastic and pushing for the playoffs in year 1.5 of a rebuild, anyways.
Nah he was just taking the hits that were there, and he rocked a few guys. I didn’t see him chasing or getting caught out of position. He was really good last night, and we need him playing like that because he’s really the only one on the blueline that provides that element.
Also, I’m not concerned about him making mistakes in the playoffs. That’s what this year’s playoffs are kind of for anyways. We won’t even be projected to win a round, so let the young guys make mistakes and learn from the experience. No harm in that at all.
