GDT: Theres a game Tonight

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

It could have been better, it could have been worse.

Thomas, Faulk and Buch were AWFUL tonight. Let's hope they improve vs Trashville and the Shithawks this weekend.

It could have been better.... Dude WE WON
Gave them a big point though, don't forget they have a game in hand on us. That could be difference

Also cost us a Regulation win.

Yes we won, but it was a big misplay by Buch and Faulk to cost us a regulation win.

I don’t really care they got the 2 points. Faulk is incredibly mentally weak. Binnington is slipping. The Blues are incredibly lucky Binnington didn’t give up 2-3 more goals.

I can’t wait until Faulk is off the team. Even though Faulk and Binnington did their best to lose, the team stopped playing with 10 seconds left. Why are 3-4 Blues players leaving the zone? It’s beyond ridiculous and the coach should be screaming at them after the win.

He was a shaft of his stick away from giving up another 2 goals.

I don't like the way he played tonight but they had much bigger passengers tonight and he also did make some big saves as well.

He needs to be better but Thomas, Buch and Faulk seriously need to bring it this weekend because that was a miserable performance from the 3.

Kyrou and Holloway were excellent.

Pettersson giveth and Pettersson taketh. He stinks. Disappointing but better than the alternative. Dylan Holloway is an absolutely incredible hockey player. What a game by him.

Wasn’t it Suter who left Boeser all alone on the right wing? Suter is pretty bad. I think I’m in the minority but thats the way I see him.

Offer sheet guys deliver in big game:

Broberg with most icetime and gwg

Holloway with third most icetime, hit leader, tied for most points, goal, best +/-, assist on gwg

Hard to imagine one offseason transaction could have this much impact

Biggest game of the season, but Faulk had an absolutely terrible game. He's played a few good games this season, but they are few and far between. He made a bunch of weak and bad passes, and weak clearing attempts, and several bad positioning decisions. He's certainly a weak link for the team. I hope we can get a replacement for him for next season.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Thomas and Buch split up for a game or two. Either flip Schenn and Thomas (but I’m not keen on breaking up our best line) or flip Buch and Bolduc. Either way, I would like to see Thomas with at least one pure shooter rather than two grind and cycle guys like Buch and Neighbours.

I don't expect us to make the playoffs. Not at the beginning, middle or even at this point of the year. So if we can almost make it and the kids are fighting towards it, they're learning how to be resilient and get a taste for wanting to make the playoffs. We need that hunger, and this is how they get it.

We can blame folks all we want but at the end of the day it's the coach that is playing them. Faulk I've been pissed off at for a dozen games now and wondering why HE wasn't shipped out for a draft pick at the TDL. I'd rather he wasn't on the roster and play with the lack of a Dman than have him here.

Buch, I feel like he's on his way out one way or the other. He seems like he's injured, and his play just looks terrible even when the team is rolling.

But for all things considered, all our issues and our missing pieces, we are sitting ONE POINT in a playoff spot which is insane to think about, let alone it being a reality. It may not and probably will not stay that way, but for today we are in it and that's something to be proud of and to build from.

So yes, WE WON.
