It's like a game of scissors. He KNOWS they read this board, they KNOW he knows and so on. Good win though!
 
He is getting tons of 1 st. line minutes and still is belove 0.5 PPG.

This is not good enough. He had 0.5 PPG under 13-15 minutes ice-time with Torts.

Its obvious that he has low selfconfidence about shooting the puck. Even me shoots better than him. At least its not difficult to save those ladyshots.

You shoot better than Zuke? C'mon. If he only had your self esteem in that area:)

What have his PP been since he got those minutes?
 
mza is passign up on some ridiculously good shooting chances...its costing us points in the standings...this is one of those...start shooting or sit on the bench type situations.

i know hes playing great, but like i said, his overpassing is costing us games..id rather him shoot in those spots and not score than to force a pass that has a much lower chance of succeeding.

shoot the effing puck kid.

He's been really good since the scratch, but the last 3 games he's done some really strange things with the puck instead of shooting. Why I can only guess, but its probably not because he's terrified of finishing
 
I totally agree, but at the same time I really wonder what the coaches talk about with him? This MUST be an issue that they are talking about in at practice??????

It´s just painful to watch those huge chances go to waste due to his lack of shooting.

Despite of this, he still plays very good games, and I thought he was great against Boston where he put up Kreids to two break aways.
 
Problem with being known and expected to be a playmaker who makes great passes, is that if you get pressured by fans and coaches to "start shooting more", you start slowly moving away from the playmaker mentality. What if every time he has the puck he starts thinking "could I shoot here? If the pass fails, everyone on the internet will be angry".
He's had some great shooting chances where he passed the puck instead and it was a tap-in for the receiver. Yes, he has to shoot more, but we can't expect him to suddenly change his entire playstyle.

So shooting more will mess his whole game up? Shooting more on odd man rushes will mess his game up? I mean come on
 
Being a playmaker and not being able to judge when to shoot and when to make a play is bad playmaking IMO

He is not accountable to the people on the internet, as much as people on the internet may think so.
 
Why keep ranting about the lack of shooting? He continues to pass the puck instead of shooting, when in position to do so. He wants others to finish, that's his game. And AV has obviously no problems with it.

But in his defence he is a small guy. He cannot get much power behind the puck-shooting. There is a reason why Chara shoot hardest in the League

Zuke was more balanced between passes and goal-scoring in SHL, AHL and the Norwegian League.

Also on the NT he scores equally between passing and goals. He has too much respect for NHL. I would like him to score more goals like the first one agains the Canes. Be more "frekk" as we say in Norway
 
I agree that he has made some bad decisions during the last games, and he must improve in those situations. But we're 10th in SF and 27th in GF. Does Zucc shooting more fix that? He's 3rd inn shooting on the the team this season with only 2 goals. Is he really the guy we would like to shoot more?

The problem here is that he's passing up good shots and trying to pass. When it's a clear path between you and the net, you gotta shoot.

Yes, you're right. Sather should just not give a **** about the cap and give out inflated contracts to cost-controlled RFA's. That's a smart way to run an NHL team in 2013.

actually, kudos to him for doing that. Made it possible to overpay for Stepans weak season and add Poop. lol

On a serious note though, next contract will be more expensive if he keeps this up
