Moment of the game: Zucc and Chara going at it, and the hobbit sends Goliath to the penalty box
You ranted about Kreider acting like a tough guy and saying he better be ready to back it up? What about 5'7 Zuccarello?

I have a lot more faith in 6'3 225 lb Kreider against Scotty Upshall than 5'7 180lb Zuccarello against Chara

I dont point the finger strictly at Zuccarello, but since thats all you Norwegians care about it only seems that way.

not naming names - just saying that zuke isn't THE problem....he's a part of it...

plenty of players and coaches to blame for the lack of scoring..

That is always the case when a team is not scoring. I could get on plenty of forwards, but I dont see a thread where people are blowing smoke up their ass about all this creativity without the production to back it up.

Just ignore him. His personal agenda against Zucc is worse than mine against Kreider :D

To be fair he did say that Zucc played well when he produced at a ppg. since his scratch.

When he does not produce he is evidently not playing well

I don't expect Zuccarello to fight at all, but he's more of an agitator than many others on the team. I wont mention any names.

That comment was of course based on the irony of it. Zucc reaching Chara's waist, and Chara got a high-sticking penalty.

Atleast Zuke brings some exitement, one way or another - to an otherwise stale and boring team 90% of the times. **** seems to happen around him.

As of today, Rangers without Zuke or Kreider would be like - you know---boring.

If you don't see the double standard then I don't know what to say

I dont get what you're trying to say in the first place. Zucc certainly backs up his hits. He's ready to fight if that's what it takes, no matter the size. But he usually disappears inside a bunch of zebras, they obviously think the little guy needs some extra protection.

Kreider? Oh well...

I am not criticizing that he didn't score just last game. I am criticizing that his style of play, overall, is a rollercoaster. Maybe some people like that, I dont. I think the NHL, in this day and age, is more about limiting mistakes than high risk offensive play.

Now, all would be forgiven if Zuccarello was a 60-70 point player - but here he is sitting at .5 PPG production again. Is the risk worth the reward? How long until we stop blaming others for his lack of offensive production?

Well, to be fair, if players would finish the chances that he sets up (like Kreider last game) his production would be better. He's the best passer on a team that's got no finish.

Personally, I think his .5/g output isn't nearly as troubling as MDZ's 4 points in 21 games, Brassard's 8 points in 21 games, Pouliout's 4 points in 21 games, Pyatt's 1 point all season, or even Staal's 3 points in 21 games.

Clearly AV has been confident enough in MZA's abilities that he's routinely leading, or close to leading, all forwards in ice time recently. He's not what this team needs to worry about.

I think Zuke is banking on the fact that its a lose/lose for any player that takes him on. He might push it to far one day and get what is coming. I think he needs to chill a bit in these situations.

Absolutely, he should keep that in mind.

Unbelievable. The Rangers break in 3-on-2, Zucc in the middle. The Dallas defenders are each cheating to either side of Zucc (clearly his reputation precedes him) leaving the middle open for a shot and... he tries to force the pass right to Step ANYWAY.

That's the mentality of a playmaker..

Maybe so, but don´t the team have a coaching staff?????
Somebody has to tell the guy to SHOOT THE PUCK!!!!!
He obviously is not able to see it for him self, so somebody has to tell him. Show him videos from these situations and tell him to SHOOT THE PUCK!!!!!

How illogical of me.

Playing well =/= producing.

You can easily argue that playing well doesn't help, if you're not producing, but the two are not the same.
You can play well and still not produce, and you can produce without playing well.

Good point. A lot of times you can make brilliant play before a goal, but not get credited. A lot of times you screen the goalie and don´t get credited. And some times you get a lucky bounce and all of a sudden you score a goal out of nothing....

Because he's Norwegian?

I'd imagine it's a similar situation to the one with Vanek in Austria. All the media-reports are belong to Vanek. Fans of other teams get kinda pissed about that. I like Vanek, but I can't stand to hear anything about the Islanders anymore (who have Grabner as well).
It's good for the development of the sport in countries like AUT, NOR and DEN, though, so I try not to be too mad. But headlines like "Vanek sits out as Islanders lose" or "Vanek registers 2 SOG as Islanders win" are kinda, well, stupid.

Just for the record, a surprisingly amount of norwegians hate the guy.....

Really ? :p

Considering he's never done anything that would influence him negatively in Norway, I find that hard to believe.

Must be a hockey team thing
