I don't think Keefes style of play is effective for Tavares. Tavares is excellent in tight, he's good at tipping pucks and scoring around the net. The leafs play a run and gun style that isn't effective for a player like him. Similar to how Ritchie looks atrocious with us and even with out best players but is producing for the Coyotes. As a coach your supposed to build a system around a team, not the other way around. Keefe definitely has one system that he goes with, no matter the personnel.

I think most of this team no longer suits this play style.

Rielly and Tavares are the 2 members of the core who definitely have the best attitude and work the hardest.

The problem is, they're limited players. Tavares' skating will forever hold him back and Rielly just doesn't have the defensive IQ to truly excel in a #1 role.
