Rangers could get 52 but if they don't pick up another ROW, the Devils can tie it up in ROW and win the 2nd tiebreaker (H2H points) by winning out.

But the Rags would have 23/24 wins. Best we can get is 21. 1st tiebreaker. ROW doesn't matter.

Ya...I really don't see how they lose to the panthers. Ill root for them of course but I don't see it. Slugs laying an egg last night really messed things up.

You are right my bad. So ya we need the Panthers to somehow get to the shootout with them Tuesday, and the Canes beat them in regulation. Ouch.

What pisses me off is if the Devils played like this against every struggling team then the season wouldn't be a wash. I know this team is really struggling with mostly AHL players due to injury. We had to go to all those shootouts with Buffalo. Made the Jets look like a championship caliber team, and then needed a shootout to beat them the only time. Don't show up against the Islanders, blew those leads to the Panthers, and Bolts in the last minute. Made so many backup goalies look like upper echelon starters.

Clemmensen also gave up a bunch of horrible goals too. I can't blame Markstrom for this game. Only the first goal. We got him moving around, got some breaks on deflections too that normally go against us.

Nope not really. Marty has owned Lundqvist the last 4 times he's played him too.

This game reminded me of the fifth to last game last season at home against TB. We had just been in a tough stretch, but beat the Blackhawks in a shootout the game before, like how we beat the Flyers just now after a tough stretch. We came out sluggish early like today, and went down early. We started scoring, but every time we did Tampa Bay would take the lead. Then when we got to like 3 goals we just turned it on from there, and won 6-3.

That's what this game was like only we didn't keep going down.

I guess this is what happens when you face half an AHL team. It's also what happens though when Patty comes out of hibernation, Clarkson starts scoring again, Zajac stops looking like 08-09 John Madden, and there is a Poni sighting. Oh and Kovy comes back in to spark the lineup!

Man, I wish I had your memory. I have a hard enough time remembering what happened in the game I just watched moments ago.

It was a real turning point game last year. Against a notoriously bad defensive team with Dwayne Roloson in net, but it turned the tides late in the season after being in a tough stretch last March.
