Purely outcoached tonight and I have only used the "outcoached" thing just once this season.
It was obvious by the end of 1st that the lines had nothing going on. That 2nd line esp couldn't do jackshit at 5 on 5.
Maurice refused to make a simple adjustment of getting Perreault into the top-6 to get some offense going. In the end it was too f***ing late.
This team continues to play like a 1st round out.
I know people are going criticize Laine again but I think we should be directing some of that venom at Maurice instead of him. That line is getting destroyed night in and night out. Those players have shown that they cannot handle what is being asked of them and yet he does NOTHING to help them out. The way they are playing... either he needs to use them as a 4th line (which he can't because he doesn't trust his current 4th line to play more minutes) or something needs to change line-wise to get them going. Letting them twist in the wind like this is so bad. It's 12 minutes a night where we know nothing positive will happen.

From a coaching perspective, Mo turned in a “Laine” level performance. Poor pre-planning & in-game adjustments.

You really think the Jets aren't making the playoffs? The wild turtled big time and held on for dear life. The Jets had an almost unbelievable 91% CF in the 3rd and the Wild didn't get a single shot on net.

Also f*** you Wild! Absolutely embarrassing 3rd period by the Wild. You are playing at home ATLEAST f***ING TRY TO SCORE A GOAL! Your fans spent good money to watch you play. They almost let that one slip away. I'd be so mad if I were a Wild fan for the Mona Lisa they painted in the 3rd.

Maurice has half a season to figure out how to neutralize a trap.
At least try to watch some tape on how Chicago , Edmonton and Boston killed the Minnesota Wild this season.

Wild played rope a dope with the Jets in the third, sad part was/is they knew it would work to preserve the win, Mo will call Mike Yeo later and ask him what to do!

Completely agree with this. I know that Laine has been horribad but Mo has let him and that 2nd line twist in the wind for far too long! For goodness sakes, try a significant line adjustment to spark the confidence of a struggling young talent with the world’s best shot!
It truly was a weird period of hockey. 91 CF% for the Jets in the 3rd. The wild came just short of all 5 players lining up on the goal line behind the goalie.

Sure .. winning is important, but at the cost of having zero entertainment what-so-ever? Imagine watching that 41 times a year.
I haven't watched something that ugly since somebody convinced me to see "Gigli" Give the Wild credit, they played their game to a tee.
