How about this? I suppose Finnish isn't a pretty language. Plus when you don't understand a word. Is it listeaneable at all.. or? Sorry you don't HAVE to listen it, but it's just interesting. (and late..)

A good song choice, WiFi. Sadly, even though I like to listen to that kind of music occasionally, I didn't really find it that good. Maybe it's just me though, and my taste of music very much varies according to my mood.

Continuing with the Finnish theme, how's this? The video's quite violent, so if you have minors around, you might not want them to see this.

No problems. I tried to select as delicate song I could find with Finnish ("ugly" language) lyrics. Just a test. Let's see if anybody crorresponds.

Actually when you took up CMX.. I could've chosen Ruoste also (The Rust).. But when you said I went to Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus. Good stuff.

Sorry everyone else, we had a small Finnish moment here.. :D

I was *this* close to choosing Ruoste, too, but went with that instead as I felt it would've been too depressing.

Another option that I had in mind was Piha Ilman Sadettajaa by Zen Café, but that's just too rough for people who haven't experienced late October in those overly populated suburbs of Espoo, Helsinki or Vantaa.

Wet concrete, a couple of puddles in the asphalt, darkness of the sand next to the swings. A young, mid-20s man smoking in his 2nd floor balcony, observing the view while a group of three kids walk uphill between two buildings. Middle-aged mother is carrying two shopping bags while her young son walks along, excitedly explaining what happened in the kindergarten that day.

Little did he know that 15 years later, he would be explaining the scene to another person in the night, at an internet hockey message board.

Okay... Change of mind.

Here goes. Don't say I didn't warn you, but make sure to watch the music video. It's great.

You nailed it. IF someone is really interested in finnish music go Youtube and search: Dave Lindholm, Tuomari Nurmio, Esa Pulliainen, CMX, Zen Cafe, Egotrippi, Timo Rautiainen, Tehosekoitin, Apulanta, Von Hertzen Brothers, Kingston Wall, Ultra Bra..

Doing Nothing
Subscribed to Sleeping at Last's new project.

The guy behind it does pretty much everything, writes the lyrics and music, sings, plays just about all the instruments, records it, etc. Beautiful music, wonderful lyrics.

His big project from 2010-11 was called "Yearbook", where he released three songs each month dedicated to one month of the year. I found him right afterwards when he collected all the songs into a 3-disc set. Great stuff.

So then he had some success with a song on Twilight, took a lot of last year off, and now is back with a new project, called "Atlas". This time around he's just looking at life in general, and over this year will release six 5-song EP's each centered around a theme.

Back to the innovative release schedule, he's releasing all the EP's digitally (well there's a CD option too but digital is the main release), and you can "subscribe" to it in advance, get a little discount on the total releases, and get them early.

Another cool thing he does is run a blog which is actually much more fun to read than most "buy my stuff!" blogs out there. He breaks down a lot of his songs and gives the history behind them, the meaning behind the lyrics, how they were recorded, etc.

Love this though, on the liner notes:

Ryan O’Neal - Voice, Pianos, Ukuleles, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Strings, etc.All Songs, Lyrics & Arrangements written by Ryan O’Neal All Songs © 2013 Asteroid B-612 (BMI) Produced & Engineered by Ryan O’Neal

You don't get that much anymore.

Suter-Brodin theme!

(Yes, I had a rough week and actually, I had a rough month. I do thank Minnesota Wild that It wasn't as bad as it could've been.)

I've been listening to a good amount of Tame Impala lately, they definitely were influenced by some late 60's Beatles stuff.

A couple other good ones

My girlfriend was watching Bring it On (yeah, I know) but it reminded me of this 1990s gem:

Such a hype song.

I'm not sure if anybody here likes Daft Punk, but here is a snippet of a song from the album that comes out in ~5 weeks.

So hype.
