Honestly it's kind of a forced situation

just throw in a group who has guns but can't use them basically immediately after Ricks group loses theirs. Should have been introduced earlier on, it's almost like they didn't know what to do with the story so they just put in this episode.

I wish this show would avoid the single-story episodes. The Leftovers does these kinds of episodes brilliantly, but this show doesn't have enough compelling characters or actors to carry a whole hour the way I'd like. Should flip between all the stories each episode like Shameless does.

All of the episodes up to this one have been good in my eyes.

I think Alanna Masterson play Tara well, but my problem with this episode, is that her or Heath's characters haven't had the build-up, and it's ages since we have seen any of them. So, for them to be starring an entire episode just didn't quite work, since I didn't really care enough, the plot was a bit so and so and quite frankly not that interesting.

I do understand the reason for introducing a new community, but they could have used less time, or spread that out over a couple of episodes, so we at least got used to seeing them back again, and get to remember Heath's name again...

There's only so much Hardwick I can take before I just want to punch him in the face. I still listen to his podcast occasionally (depending on the guest) and for whatever reason I feel like he's easier to listen to in that format than on Talking Dead.

The convenience of it is B-level stuff.

What was the reason behind Alexandria losing all their guns if they were going to immediately get a bunch from a random group that was never established?

He seems more unbearable after a bad/slow episode, because it's his job to act like it was the greatest thing ever/had this massive impact.

Hardwick seems like a great dude, so it's no surprise his podcast is an easy/easier listen

Strange, I think you maybe right, I love Hardwick, Midnight is awesome, his podcasts are great, however Talking Dead (which I watch regularly) It seems likes hes a puppet (unless he has one of his "friends" on). Hes still good on Talking Dead, but its definitely his worst gig. Hell even his live streams about Talking/Walking Dead are better.

Because he's not until AMC control.

On good episodes, he's good, because he doesn't need to act, and he can legitimately act naturally.

On poor episodes, he needs to act like they are still very good/big impact, and you can tell he's acting more, and can't act that natural.

They havent acquired the weapons though. And last we saw the beach crew they were in fact attempting to murder Tara. I mean theyll get them eventually, but it could be at least half a season before then

Hardwick SAVES Talking Dead

I don't watch it unless the episode is really good or someone I like is on it, but when its a bad episode/bad guests he keeps it rolling

I will only watch Talking Dead if they bring back CM Punk and Yvette Nicole Brown. Those two were the best.

Don't get the hate on this episode. Expected much worse. Fair enough, Tara had it way too easy in that camp. It was a welcome change to the same ol' though.

Agreed, that episode surpassed my expectations too. Plenty of action, plenty of tension, some good character development. Cant hate on that. Only complaint is that it didnt need to be all about Tara.

That being said I cant wait for a Negan episode and to see what happens with Carl/Jesus.:yo:

I'm guessing Jesus jumps off the truck and Corral doesn't. Then Corral kills Negan and becomes leader of the Saviors!

the thing that bugs me the most about this episode is this. If they wanted to kill Tara, why not just kill her? Why make this whole idea to make her think she can get away, then try killing her, with the chance she could escape.

The only WTF moment of the episode for me was when they agreed to let her and one of their own go back to the Alexandria, why did she run the first moment she got. I really don't understand, they were already letting her go.

She caught on with the bells and whatnot that they were going to murder her out there.

As said, she figured out that they were going to shoot her. Otherwise, why would they shoot at her when she started running? When they were "going to let her go".

What I didn't get was that when the granddaughter stopped her, and then ran with Tara. Why did it take the others so long to catch up? Did the granddaughter knock out the other one? I can't remember, but I didn't see that. So I couldn't figure out how they had so much time when they got to the bridge.

Have some downtime here at work (graveyard shift) so I watched the episode again. Definitely worse the second time. Those *****es must've went to the same shooting instructor as storm troopers because they're all horrible shots. You'd think after 20+ rounds Tara would've gotten hit at least once. It just doesn't make any sense at all. They shoot strangers on site. No exceptions. Then they start shooting at one, she runs away, knocks out a member of the community so they don't kill her. Make her believe she is free and again fail at killing her. What a horrible episode. I hope Tara dies.
