wow i only saw a 57 minute version not 85... negan leaves then what happened?

Spencer gives some lip to Rick who then tells Spencer if he ever talks to him like that again he'll break his jaw and knock his teeth out (he said something similar to Shane in S2). He then told Michonne about why he can't risk anything with Negan and anyone else in Alexandria having any guns because he can't see anyone else get killed (he blames himself when they get killed -- sometimes, but he clearly blames himself for Abe and Glenn dying even though Michonne tries telling him it's not his fault) and told Michonne that he knows Judith is Shane's baby and not his but he loves her anyways. Show ended with Rosita finding a bullet and asking Eugene to make her some more.

Why the hell wouldnt they cook their books with the weapons?

Were they afraid of an audit from the IRS?

That makes no sense to me at all.

Rick is always extra cautious with stuff like that, burying and hiding weapons.

Now suddenly he doesn't think to cook his inventory and hide a huge stash of weapons?

Negan said he is coming to your hood to take stuff, so the first thing you should do is go home and start stashing weapons.

They are making Rick ultra stupid since the season finale.

Makes no sense.

He said it in the episode. He can't risk it because if they lie, everyone at Alexandria dies. He's defeated. He can't handle anymore loss after losing Glenn and Abe, especially since he blames himself for them dying. He feels guilty and he wants to protect his loved ones, especially Carl and Judith. They don't have the numbers to fight back.

The problem is they are stretching episodes for the sake of it. You could have told this story in an hour. You don't need to have people explain what they are feeling or what they are planning every week. Show me, don't tell me all the time.

So you are complaining because you got more of a TV show you like than you usually do?

It still doesn't seem likely to me. He had enough time to stash those weapons so that Negan never found them, and he wouldnt have pulled them out unless he was sure he was going to go after Negan or use them in the event he wanted to pull his people out and escape somewhere far, far away.

I get that the Negan story has to be pushed fwd, Rick and Daryl have to fall and rise, but there seemed like many other ways to do this without making Rick into a total dumbass since the finale last season.

rick is broken, to me his behavior makes sense. he has carl and judith there... sombody else has to do the risks now. if they only could guarantee the safty for daryl, they would load up a car and just flee. thats why negan brought daryl.... actually that makes me think why all the other camps did not fall by desperate attempts to leave the area. negan probably treats every camp differently.

No, that isn't what I'm saying.

If the show is longer and it stretches out the material to where it is no longer enjoyable, I will have a problem with it. This was a long "Negan is mean and is taking guns from Rick" episode and it felt it's length.

Lmao at all these older ladies on AMC's TWD Facebook account. They are all ready to boycot the show because "Negan is annoying and boring" and The Saviors are "a bunch of bullies."

Literally hundreds of comments of people saying they are done with the show if Negan isn't killed off soon.

Just took a glimpse and was reminded why I usually stay away from Facebook.

People also suggesting that Rick has turned into a wuss for not killing Negan when had the chance... because that totally wouldn't be disastrous for Alexandria.

IMO Rick more than ever is showing he's a great leader by doing what he must to protect the group. He may look weak on the surface, but I think he's showing fortitude by keeping his cool through all of it. He doesn't see a way out at the moment so complying is the only option.

I'm pretty sure those ladies have nothing to do other than find stuff to ***** about.

He can't do that. I don't think you're getting the significance of his words to Michonne. If he "goes after Negan" he and all of Alexandria are dead. He can't handle seeing his friends and family die anymore. He blames himself for the deaths of Glenn and Abe and can't get anyone from Alexandria in any more trouble and risk it. Carl, Judith, Michonne, Daryl... all dead if he hides weapons and uses them when he wants to "go after Negan". And that will be because of him, just like he blames himself for Glenn and Abe dying.

He can't just escape somewhere "far far away" either. You saw the season 6 finale. The Saviors are huge and were one step ahead of Rick the whole way until they got them trapped.

He doesn't have the numbers right now. He knows it, and he's not risking ANYTHING because it puts those he cares about the most in danger and he can't deal with it anymore. He can't watch someone he cares about die because of his actions again.

Rick still thinks about Shane, his former partner who slept with his wife and tried killing Rick so he could take care of his wife and son, and takes care of Judith, who he knows is Shane's baby. Rick killed Shane. Imagine how he feels about Glenn and Abe. Whether responsible or not, in his mind, he caused it.

Agreed. In the eyes of his group (some of them) they see Rick as weak and a wuss, but he's doing the right thing. He's out numbered drastically and is doing whats best not only for his son and daughter but for the rest of his people. Rick has shown a few signs of struggle and really does want to take Negan out but has to calm himself down and not do anything stupid

Again, there is no sense behind the things the writers are making Rick do.

His whole motto was "I don't take chances"

Then he is suddenly out attacking the outpost of some group he never takes the time to scout and learn about?

Running around in a forest with a pregnant lady on a stretcher when the Saviors are after you is another bad idea that makes no sense for Rick to have made.

Making him too "broken" to think about hiding his weapons is the trifecta of silliness. Dude had to kill his best friend, watched Herschel get his head lopped off and ate a dudes face. They even reinforce how crazy he became by showing us the video, but somehow Negan's violence is too much for him?

Negan is now threatening to kill someone if they don't get him something interesting the next time he comes, and Rick now has no way of protecting anyone. Like he is suddenly too stupid to know Negan would be like that... right...

And Negan doesn't have more than a couple hundred guys if that. There isn't enough manpower to watch over all of these colonies and stop people from leaving. There is no way in hell they could realistically stop Rick's crew from leaving and heading out to another state or wherever. If they followed them, use the rocket launcher... derp.

The whole season finale with them cutting off every road was unrealistic as hell. Please.

Being stupid for the sake of the plot is nothing new with this show.

I get that, but Rick suddenly becoming a total dumbass just seems silly as hell.

The Negan plot could have been pushed along a similar path without making Rick become mentally challenged.

yep social media. where 5% of the fanbase *****es and moans and think they represent 100%. the show is building up. nothing wrong with that. I like the change. rick and co are defeated. its better for once to see them as underdogs. never once did I think that with the governor. the old bags can get bent. AMC wouldn't notice the ratings drop.

why? what if neagan killed your wife but you still had your son and daughter with you. if neagan threatened them after you saw him baseball bat her head you'd listen. especially being outmaned.

Nah. If I was outmanned and there was a threat like Negan, I'd be moving along somewhere else with my kids and anyone else who was smart enough to follow.

Of course this is TWD world where Negan has magic powers and can cover all the roads out of town, so I guess I would have to wait for him and his 30-40 people to show up like stupid sitting ducks thinking they can come back and bash more heads in and use the rocket launcher on them, then have my people unload the rest of my ridiculous arsenal of automatic weapons on their *****.

They've made it quite clear that Negan has quite an influence on the area they're in. In addition to the main compound (where Daryl currently is), he's shown to have outposts (like the one Rick's group initially destroyed) all over the area.

Do you really think he can maintain all that with "30-40 people"?

Don't be daft. Negan has an army, Rick has a group. He's greatly outnumbered and he knows it. So he's doing what he can to protect his group, even if it means bending the knee to do so.

The saviors have Daryl. Maggie and Sasha are at Hilltop. Do you just leave them? I don't think so.

And they still don't know where Morgan and Carol are.
