Back in a big scramble in front and cleared down the ice as the puck slides out of the mess. Both penalties killed.

Crunch come back in on the rush. It's been happening all night. Crunch coming in with ease and getting great unchallenged shots off the wings from the dot or closer.

Weak passes. Standing still and cough it up while trying to get their feet going. Blind passe to the Crunch. Stick handling and it's just taken away from them.
They all seem to choose to pass as if they know they can't shoot and want someone else to do it.
The Crunch counter punch is made with lots of speed coming back up the ice and the Comets are usually outnumbered and the back check is slower than Hell.

The sloppy play, fumbling the puck, flubs on pass attempts, passes to directly to the wrong color. It's been a defensive debacle.

Another big stop by Hofer. He has not been the problem in this game. The shots the Crunch have had are giftwrapped, uncontested shots, with time to pick their spot from prime scoring areas.
Jayson Shaya, doing his best to create reasons for the Comets poor play. Selling the tale of youth going through the growing pains. Elaborating on the difference from the amateur game to the pro level. Have to build on every positive effort and put it all together to become a pro.

Comets 6 on 5 on a delayed penalty. Make a pass right out of the offensive zone. The way it's gone all night.
Even a man up they can't make clean passes and can't take them when they do.
Can't even enter the zone and set up the PP. Can't even get out of their own zone at times.
Anas makes a beautiful pass into the crease while under pressure. Only guy there is a Crunch D-man and he shoots it down the ice.

Since the Comets have started up again last night the number of 100+ feet stretch passes from the D has been incredible. It's like they don't have another means to breakout of their own end.
Comets get another PP with 15 to go in the 2nd.
Comets (Jasek) get the draw back to Anas who moves towards the net and shoots from the bottom of the circle. High shot stopped reflexively and it deflects off the keeper over the net and gets cleared. Period ends.
