I'm just scratching my head trying to figure out how they are going to build this and it has me intrigued.

Is it going to be a mystery opponent right up to the match?

Is Taker going to call someone out?

Is someone going to call him out?

We know he won't be interfering in a match again if Meltzer is correct.

Add to the fact I have no idea who it will be... I am looking forward to the coming weeks.

Ohhhhh ****. It's going to be Jonathan Coachman, isn't it? Thanks ESPN. :sarcasm:

It's not an NXT guy according to WO radio(according to a post elsewhere).

There are only a handful of guys out there who are in shape and can make their match with Taker the attraction to help bring in 100K.

Taker/Austin LVII: This time, it's personal.

No seriously, who then? If you take into account; health of said star, not being on roster and "big enough" attraction to put on a match with Taker than can put butts in seats you're left with only a slim amount of options. Rock (who can't wrestle) or Austin.

Austin always said he would consider it if given the right storyline. Would getting to work with Undertaker, whom he has great respect for in a possible last hurrah for both in their home state in front of 100k people be enough?

Outside of those two the only guy i could think of is Michaels but he doesn't seem so keen on it. Feel like he would have popped up on TV already if that was the case. (This is all assuming not on the roster includes guys like Cena, Orton and Cesaro since they're still on there, just out hurt)

I'm sticking to one of Cena, Orton or Cesaro. They're not currently active. There also aren't many big name wrestlers out there who aren't "active" that can be immediately slotted into a match with Undertaker.

Alvarez is saying the person is both not on the roster and is also not wrestling. Also seems pretty confident this isn't WWE misinformation or a work. So it not being Cena I guess is true.

So that rules out NXT.

I have no ****ing clue. I guess Batista? Rock's filming schedule won't let it happen IMO. Austin has been adamant about not wrestling again. HBK wants his retirement to stand (though if he came back it would be the best match on the card potentially). Sting is to hurt and needs neck surgery. Goldberg and Vince don't seem to have any interest in working together.

Batista doesn't seem to keen on returning either, but there was talk about him wanting to wrestle again in a retirement angle. Having Taker do it at Mania might get him back, but IDK what they are planning here.

Aren't Batista and Titus really close? And didn't Batista tell Titus to ask for his release? I doubt he wants to return right now after they did that.

But honestly, he seems like the only logical solution.

Still say darkhorse Kevin nash with hall/x pac in his corner bc isnt it like the 20th or 25th anniversary of the nwo? And nash is still in great shape. Don't think thats what it'll be, but just another name in the hat.

Just have HBK come out on Monday and challenge Taker to a career vs career match at WrestleMania in a Hell in a Cell and hope no one notices :sarcasm:

Wouldn't Batista potentially have the same insurance issues Rock has? Not sure of filming schedules but Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is kinda a big deal.

They just started filming this week. Not sure what Batista's schedule is with it, but ya he could have insurance issues. Just seems like the only one that makes any sense.

I guess they could go Nash. He claims he still has one good match in him, but man not a big fan of that. It was one of the poorer streak matches when they first wrestled. Don't want it again all these years later.

At least HBK and Batista had really solid streak matches that you can roll with in the build.

Sting does make the MOST sense if you ignore his neck injury and need for surgery...but he is really hurt so no way he works.

Rock would be money and he has been teasing about making history. Just not sure he got insured, guess he could of.
