I've given up on acquiring OF Soto tbh. The teams looking to acquire don't make sense to me but it seems that most teams try to fleece or overprice trade value for the Jays when they're interested. Not a chance would I be happy adding Tiedd in a trade for him considering his insane tracjectory.

I am on the Soto train if it means we have to send Moreno and Bo the other way. I do believe Jays are all in. All these commitments to renovate the dome is not just for show. They will have money to give Soto and Vladdy.

I’d love Gregory Soto on this team, He’s got done nasty pitches. But he’s under control for 3 more years after this one so the price would be big. And Atkins has admitted that he doesn’t like spending a lot of money or prospect capital on relievers

Otto Lopez and Nate Pearson covers Soto.

Yeah I was hesitant at first with trading Moreno, kid is going to be a star but there’s 1-2 players I’d move him for and that’s Soto and Ohtani. Other than that teams can go f*** the selves lol

I’d do it

So Blair is tweeting out that no one on the 25 man roster is untouchable in a Ohtani trade which perked my ears up. He continues and says, Moreno would one piece, they’d think hard on Orelvis but Tiedemann might be the 3rd piece that halts things. First off where is Blair getting this info and secondly if this info is true then maybe the Jays are actually trying to get Ohtani

Blair meant Ohtani/Soto

Blair says some teams see Moreno come off the plate. Hmmm

It will really be amazing if we gotta settle for a few BP arms and Atkins decided not to get either Ohtani or Soto because he didn’t want to add in Tiedemann. I love prospects but damn

Sorry no one is untouchable on the 25 man roster other than multi year contract guys like Vladdy/Manoah.

In a Soto deal you’re probably looking at a Bichette/Gurriel, Moreno, Martinez, Tiedemann

I don't know, Ohtani seems like a pipe dream. No way the Angels owner is giving up Ohtani, no way.

You see, Jays definitely have the pieces to land Soto, but are they willing to part with those pieces?

I'd be shocked if Ohtani goes anywhere before he's a free agent.

The Angels are going to milk that merch cow dry before he inevitably gets fed up and leaves for a team that can win since he's already floated that he's not happy with the Angels lack of success

I think that's too much.
I know Baseball Trade Values is just one site and not totally accurate on what front offices believe, but they have it like this.

Soto 176.8 vs Bichette 96.7/ Moreno 69.9 = 166.6

I think Washington will find it hard to get a deal that starts with a better return than that.

Imo, you only trade one of Moreno/Tiedemann unless you were somehow acquiring both Soto and Ohtani (1 in each trade).

Moreno is the top prospect in baseball and Tiedemann is trending towards top 10 (possibly top 5) by season's end. If Tiedemann gets near his innings limit, I'd love to see him called up to pitch out of the pen (like Sale and Price were).

The Rockies continue to confuse the baseball world at large.

I can at least get them not wanting to trade Cron, even if he's on pace for a massive outlier season and you could get back a haul. But why in the hell, as a also-ran/non contender are you not trading a 37 year old reliever when his value will never be higher?

The Rockies aren't competing no matter how many wild card spots they add.
