You already know that they'll be getting McKenna next year to help transition into the next Pens-eraI hope this never happens so the Pens get no help kicking off a rebuild and Crosby wastes away on the Pens.
Oh no, some random guy who can't accept reality thinks I'm a fool... IronicYou know what they say about fools and their money.
good one dude, you're so funnyBut if you cut the cheese before buying might cause a problem
I wonder who is the best player that Crosby can be traded for 1 for 1. Obviously he is old but he is still a star and every single playoff team would love to have him
Would Crosby for Marner be a fair deal for both teams assuming that Marner signs a good long-term contract with Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh gets a young 100 pt star for another 8 years.
Toronto gets an old man that doesn’t have constant diarrhea during the playoffs.
Does Pittsburgh even want someone like Marner long-term?
Or is there another team that can offer someone better than Marner straight up for Crosby?
Kinda like Panarin? And Shesterkin? And Fox? And Lafreniere?I hope this never happens so the Pens get no help kicking off a rebuild and Crosby wastes away on the Pens.
Not sure i see a Rangers connection. Colorado makes sense since Nate is there. I think winning with a Canadian team and ending the drought helps his legacy and story so the Canadian contenders including Edmonton and Winnipeg make sense. Maybe Minnesota since he went to Shattuck and knows Bill Guerin well. Would have said Boston due to Marchand until they went into the tank themselves. If Crosby ever decides he is willing to move, he will only allow a trade to the Avs or Canucks. Possibly the Leafs or Rangers. And if it is only 2-3 teams, the return will not be what many will hope it will be.
Fair comment. I don't think he goes to Winnipeg or Edmonton for two plus years. I think he would consider it if he was a rental and it was just one run. I'm not sure Minny is enough of a contender. And yeah, no obvious connection to the Rangers and I thought about not including them but it IS New York and they are a contender so you never know! Not sure i see a Rangers connection. If they not trading him what matters if that is enough?Ok, yes I know its never going to happen. Yes I know they are not trading him ever. Yes I know and if they do he certainly isn't going to want to come to Winnipeg
But Lets just play a game were he does request a trade and he does decide that he indeed wants to come to Winnipeg. What is a realistic value for this type of deal?
2025 1st, 2026 1st + Brad Lambert + Elias Salomonsson. Is that enough?
Flame away
This is pretty ironic, considering....Crosby being dealt is a real possibility, despite what Pens fans want to believe. No player wants to bottom out when they have a chance to play meaningful playoff hockey.
