I'm okay with Hutch getting the start. Mrazek's groin injury could be problematic for any length of time and Campbell's health is always a concern so lets have the other option as dialed in as possible.

San Jose gonna be on the 2nd game of a back to back they probably want the better goalie against Pittsburgh who will be without pretty much all of their good players except Guentzel since Carter and Jarry are now on the COVID list.

I was happy with Hutch last season. He looked good in preseason. I have no issues with this. Hutch plays against a team that played the night before. Let the stronger goalie start the 2nd half of a back to back on Sat night against a pretty good scoring team, time for Soup to shine.

Should never underestimate your opponent. This has big time disappointment written all over it.

Don’t get me wrong, I think hutch is more than capable of getting the job done I just think that by sending out you backup on the first night you are sending a clear sign to the room across the way that you think you can beat them.

not to mention like a 1/8th of the NHL grew up in Ontario and these are meaningful games at their home city regardless. Not sure I like the play, but hutch was getting a game regardless.

I typically prefer to have the starter in net for the first half of a back-to-back (B2Bs shouldn't be much of an issue in that regard with Campbell/Mrazek). That said, an extra day of rest might not be the worst idea with Campbell having appeared in every game thus far.

Hutch was great last season. He seems well suited for that #3 role in the organization

Yeah I think letting Hutch play the Sharks coming off a back to back and giving Campbell a break here and there makes more sense than potentially running Campbell into the ground before Mrazek is healthy. Which would force Hutch to play every night or platoon with Alex Bishop!

Lots of sharks are flying in fantasy right now. Sharks could pull this one.
