I, like most here, wouldn't say forgotten about.. but the one team that I've thought about the least all season is the Ottawa Senators.

My one crazy preseason prediction was that Buffalo would finish ahead of them in the standings..

Didn't think about them all season and then MacLean got fired!
So i looked em up and read the articles etc at the time..
Then I remembered by prediction and Dec 15th the Sabres and the Sens met,,, Buffalo pulled within 2 pts of the Sens by beating them that night..

Sens 12-12-6 : 30pts
Sabres 13-16-2 : 28 pts

I was like, Yup...called it!

This thread made me look em up again...
MacLean was fired and Buffalo has 2 pts since that game....

I still feel my prediction was validated by how close it was 30 games into the season...

Came on the site looking for this thread, I completely forgot the Leafs still existed? I thought they just called up an AHL team to replace them.

Leafs could have folded 20 years ago, sportsnet would still talk 50% of their time about them.....

Description of Kulemin's breakaway goal on Sportsnet.ca:

"Check out this beauty solo effort by former Maple Leaf Nikolay Kulemin, scoring short-handed vs. Philadelphia, showing off some crazy moves he never did in Toronto."

says it all

Well, none really, I watch a lot of NHL/AHL games, so I know the teams and their affiliates. Obviously I wish I could watch more, but I don't think I've ever forgotten about a team.

There was a time (last April/May) I wish I could forget the Sharks existed, but that doesn't really count :sarcasm:

I don't literally forget but I don't know much about the Avs are this season. Can't recall actively watching Iggy at all

Name five things about a team that you didn't learn from looking at the standings/some stats. I personally can't do that for San Jose, Carolina, Buffalo, Arizona, St-Louis and Florida off of the top of my head. I just really don't know have much to say about them except the players' past performance.

The Binghamton Bloodhounds - nobody ever talks about them and they don't have any merchandise or even a web site. It's as if they don't exist.

I never forget any NHL or NFL teams. I'm on here way too much to have a team slip my mind.

As for basketball and MLB though... Sacramento Kings have to be up there, as well as the San Diego Padres.

The Sharks. It's not that I don't know they exist, more like the only time they even cross my mind is when I glance at the Western Conference standings; "Oh yeah, they're... there?"

Does it count if I keep forgetting that it's the Arizona Coyotes?

Going to list all the teams, and whoever comes up last on my list is the most forgettable.

Ducks
Kings
Sharks
Panthers
Blackhawks
Leafs
Oilers
Buffalo
Bruins
Sharks
Hurricanes
Wild
Jets
Penguins
Flames
Blue Jackets
Islanders
Rangers
Devils
Senators
Canadiens
Avalanche
Lightning
Canucks
Blues
Red Wings
Flyers
Predators
Capitals
Coyotes

There you have it- Coyotes

Edit: I actually cheated a bit, since I thought I listed all 30 teams and then when I checked to make sure I saw the Capitals first. So between one of them.

I guess Ottawa is a good one. This is the first game against them coming up and they're not good or bad, I have no idea what their record is.

Could it be? A salty Anaheim fan wishing there were 2 Sharks over the existence of the Stars?

:sarcasm:
