I am the Ultimate Sopranos expert, I have seen every episode dozens of times and know every bit of trivia or facts about the show. It truly is the best piece of "visual media" ever made and can never be topped.

Trivia Question: Because the shooting of the final episodes of the series was garnering so much attention in and around NY and NJ, the writers went to great lengths to hide the secret that Tony kills Christopher. In the working scripts and storyboards for Kennedy and Heidi, who was substituted for Christopher to keep this secret?

Poor you.

Rewatched it earlier during the pandemic and I actually enjoyed it more the second time through. If you don't have to focus on the plot of the episodes, the overall story, character development and relationships stand out even more.

I also watched an interview with Federico Castelluccio (Furio) recently and his American accent through me for a loop. I totally believed he was an Italian actor.

Evidently he was born in Naples and moved to America as a small child. I'm guessing he grew up around Italian-Italians and can turn the accent on and off.

Will Sasso does great impressions in general, but his Tony Soprano impression is outstanding. He nails all the little mannerisms.

Definitely he tries to speak in the Neapolitan dialect but you perceive the strongly American stamp. I can assure you that the Neapolitan dialect spoken correctly is in most cases absolutely incomprehensible. This not from a Soprano's fan.

He actually did great, I haven't watched that clip in 15? years or so but seeing it now, he was spot on. Even Debra Wilson was good as Dr. Melfi

This is pretty much everyone's 1st reaction but it grows on you over time.

I just despised that little pause when the screen goes black and a handful of seconds after it goes to the credits. Should of just went straight to the credits. All of us in the room where we watched the finale as it aired, thought the cable had gone out and something was wrong because of that slight pause of the black screen.

The ending was better for me on the 2nd watch-through. I had only seen Seasons 5 and 6 once (as they aired) so it was really like watching it for the first time all over again I remembered so little.

The ending now makes some sense. My take is Butch wasn't being truthful during their sit-down with the Soprano family and still had someone kill Tony.

Ever since that little piece of foreshadowing (or what I think is foreshadowing) where Tony passes by Butch at the hospital after visiting Phil and Butch says "we have to stop meeting like this" and Tony doesn't reply just has a strange look on his face, I felt it was foreshadowing the Butch would ultimately cause Tony's death.

Then fast forward to when Butch is speaking to Phil on the phone in the finale and suggests a sit-down with the Sopranos, which Phil disagrees with and tells him that once this is over they need to talk, Butch replies but then Phil says your breaking up and hangs up the phone. I think Butch realized then after the Sopranos are wiped out he might be on the chopping block, so in his head sets plans in motion to get rid of Tony and Phil. Who benefits more from Phil's death than Butch? Get rid of two potential threats, and maybe even take a step up in the Lupatazzi family to Phil's spot.
