The Habs portion starts around 33 minutes. Elliotte called Kyle a wimp which is really funny, considering how nerdy that boy is.

Friedmans thoughts on the Slaf and Laine are enticing. He really pumps up Slaf's off season workout and we will see that as part of a HNIC piece.

yes but you never know...he missed games previously...wouldn't want him to have bad luck. These NHL guys look strong but are made of glass.

Habs with so many great prospects and rookies they better come into camp in 200% fantastic shape. The test will show just who spent 3-4 months in the gym or NOT. I hear Slav dropped 15 lbs but is NOW totally ripped " a beast" he might be a bit faster now but also READY TO RUMBLE if he must.

Slaf went from 238 lbs his rookie year to 230 his sophomore year to 220 now

He wants to be faster and not just be a "physical type". The kid is committed to do what it takes to be one of the best players. Most critical development ingredient is obsession to improve and I think he has it.

Agreed! He had a great 2nd half with Suzuki last year and this season, he's coming in more confident with more experience and likely starts with Suzuki game 1. If he starts off strong (where he left off), he's probably going to put up 70+ pts. 30 goals and 40 assists would not be a big reach IMO.

* 18 goals with 25 assists (0.81 pts/game)

Jan 15th to end of Season:
* 40 games with 19:16 TOI
* 16 goals with 19 assists (0.88 pts/game)

Dec 21st to Feb 17th:
* 24 games with 18:53 TOI
* 10 goals with 12 assists (0.92 pts/game)

I think something around 0.8 to 0.9 pts/game is not a big reach for his 3rd season.

I look forward to Bell Center opening night when Slaf is introduced. This will be actually the first time when he enters the season as a teams star. I remember 2 years ago, injured Carey got the loudest ovation. Now, atmosphere will be electrifying for fan favourites like Xhekaj, Hutson, Slaf, Caufield, Laine...

Yea i saw a video of him talking to Kirby at training camp on skates. I have to remind myself that Dach is 6'3 and not a small guy.
