Somehow you failed to see Skinner in the crouch, head about 3feet off the ice being one of the main reasons he can't see anything. There was no reason for him to be in that set, there were no other players at net, there was Foegele getting out of the way of a shot which should signal whats going on. If Skinner wants to see something on a routine play that was not dangerous than he should stay on his feet once in awhile and/or make an effort to look around screen like any normal goalie would.
You deserve to lose when you only play for one period. What precisely was stopping them from playing hard from puck drop? Did Skinner use psychic waves to make the team play bad?
You can avoid the back breaking goals by not going down by four to begin with. There wasn’t a single excuse for them to come out so flat in a playoff game.

Forget 60 minutes, let’s start with 30 and go from there. They were a dead fish for two full periods. A completely lifeless effort from almost every skater. It was embarrassing.

But it isn't the case. The Kings had last change in the game being at home and were managing containment the first 35mins. A Kings team that happens to be pretty good at suppression. They had some luck on the way to that, and they expended too much energy doing it. The Kings were throwing themselves at the game first 40mins to a degree they ran out of gas. If you look in the thread I even said Kings would be tired in the third, and you could already see it at end of 2nd period. McD shaking coverage like nobodies business.
Yah offensively Bouch is a threat. But it doesn't excuse horrendous defensive play. Obviously Bouch is better than MAB. His play is a liability though, he needs to think the game better. If not the Oilers will continue to bleed goals especially with Stu in net.
