I'm tired of him, too, but to be fair this goaltending mess isn't his fault. He was (correctly) pencilled in to be the club's back-up for the current period, which would have been fine.
The massive screw-up that will cost our club a Cup was the signing of Jack Campbell, by Holland and his brainiac crew, which has forced us into the current situation.
(Saying that, they probably could have acquired a goaltender last summer by not wasting time on Arvidsson and J. Skinner, who they barely play.)
The unanswerable mystery of Stu Skinner is why the coaching staff and (apparently) organization feel duty-bound to put all their eggs in his basket. Skinner had a solid rookie season in '23, an okay sophomore season in '24 (nothing worth signing big contracts or getting extensions over), and a forgettable / AHL-level third season in '25. You'd think it would by now be obvious to the coaching staff that he is not as good now as he was two years ago, surely a worrisome trend with a 26-year-old (or whatever) goaltender.
PLAY THE GOALIE WHO'S BEEN BETTER THIS SEASON (i.e., Pickard). Why is this so difficult...??
