Norris 2 26? Huh. Habs had way more injuries and impacted players. Just no idea what the argument was even. Beyond ridiculous what poster said about players that were injured were net negative
No idea why you’re say huh?
I’ll spell it out then if it’s hard using math signs.
26 is greater than 2

He’s not under contract with speculation that he was the ring leader of the Canada Juniors alleged gang rape. So it’s unlikely he plays for Ottawa for a while, if ever.
I thought the same in September, but i think he plays next year personally.

His qualifying offer wouldve been like 1 M or less. There's no way he would accept that.
The sens couldve easily signed him to a contract after that, but didnt.
Extending the qualifying offer allows them to maintain his rights (so he doesn’t become a UFA). It’s basically a formality but before the Blackhawks won the cup they were late in extending qualifying offers and ended up likely having to pay some guys more than they probably would have (as they technically became UFAs, at least arguably). It exacerbated an already messy cap situation for the following summer.

Seems to me the more interesting topic is Vegas or Colorado playing so well despite being injured so much. Vegas is going to be incredibly scary if Stone comes back healthy.
Both those teams could have been in the 115pt range if it wasn't for injuries.

Norris was on pace for like 18 goals this year, Caufield like 45.
If you go back to last year he even had like what 22 goals in like 38 games remaining after they got rid of the deadbeat coach.
So that is your guys problem Norris was not up to par and on pace for like 18 goals.

The main points I made was Montreal had half their roster gone and impact players all year and last year. They made history with most man games down. What 2 years in a row now.

26 what the f*** 2. What the hell are you even referring to is my question.
Here is what you quoted, when you responded to my post, lol.

Caufield scored 26 goals, Norris 2
26 > 2

And you can’t figure out what 26 > 2 means, it’s literally in the line above. Wow.

So I would say Norris missing all but 8 games is more of a detriment.

Yea sure if you wantt to compare that. But then us missing Ghule, Xhekaj, Monahan, Matheson, Dach, Evans, Barron, Slafkovsky is more of a determinate to anything remotely close you can compare

This does not even include Price,.Gallagher who is not great but a good way over paid 3rd/4th liner at this point

Technically if you take away Ellis ltiretirement injury, Sens would actually be third in the league in WAR lost behind Colorado and Vegas (Which shows how terrifying both of those teams are fully healthy).

Canadiens suffered the most injuries overall, however many of their injured players were a net negative to begin with.

This actually gives me some hope for the senators next season if rhey can get a better coach and a healthier roster.

Some team leads the league in a very meningless stat.... Thread worthy ;)

“Better Coach” = fewer injuries?

do not get this thread. Only Chabot was a core player who missed key time. 5 players have played in 81 games. Sens just did not have good depth. The Sens are like the oilers of a short time ago. 6 good players and the rest scrubs. Chych does not count--he was late to the show

guess you forgot about their Number One Center?

sens have done a really good job setting themselves up with great young players but they are still a good coach and an impact D away from getting over that hump. I'd like to see them chase Orlov this summer
