Dreading Kakko ending up like Nash while hoping he's Kovalev is... weird.
I’d be pretty upset if Kakko wasn’t a 60 point player until the age of 26

Are you referring to Nash?
Nash' production:
18: 39 points
19: 57 points
21: 54 points
22: 57 points
23: 69 points
24: 79 points
25: 67 points
26: 66 points
Pretty big exceptions there, especially when Nash had difficulty maintaining his level of play in the playoffs with tighter checking and better defenders.Nash's Rangers years > Kovalev's Rangers years, with the exception of the 93-94 and 94-95 playoffs.
Nash scored 41 goals in his second year in the NHL... you're letting his twilights years performance here cloud your judgement of him as a young player. As a young kid he was a bull and used size and absolutely insane hands to attack the net regularly.
When will people stop being shocked that the last years of a players UFA retirement deal end up ugly? It's going to happen 90% of the time, that doesn't mean the player had a bad career or those years are in any way indicative of the players prime.
Yeah I mean we're guessing about what he'll end up being in terms of production, but stylistically I think Nash is a decent comparison from what I've seen from Kakko. Kakko engages physically a lot more than Nash but in terms of hands in tight and using his frame to rush the net I think there's a similarity.Nash had a good career, my problem is that I don't think he was ever good enough to be THE guy on a contending team like we hope Kakko will be.
Is this a lias' Andersson shot?
Lias' didn't have 25 in 50 or 36 in 71.. he's got 8 pts in 49 games. 8.
The Finn I want him to be like is Teemu Selanne.
I also just want him to be as good as the best Finn ever.
Really, we're not asking for that much hereI also just want him to be as good as the best Finn ever.
Can Chytil be another Jagr?I also just want him to be as good as the best Finn ever.
If he's better than all those players, including Barkov... OOOOOOOOH BABY
He has a HOF name
And Sheshty can be Tretiak. And Andersson can be Forsberg.
Weren't Barkov's pre-draft numbers better?
e - Barkov had 48 points in 53 games, so ahead of these four, yup.
Played more games on a better team. I think they're pretty equal
Fair. What's the reason for Barkov not being included in that graphic?
