Believe it or not on the main boards people are claiming we got favored again. Among the whiners...LA Kings fans and Colorado fans who said they were screwed again (I guess #29 doesn't count).

Okay, seriously Colorado has picked in the top 12 for years, including multiple top 3 selections.

LA has picked second overall and won two cups this decade.

The only place the Rangers are favored is in an alternate universe where the Rangers have won 15 cups and are currently laying the groundwork for the post-Crosby and Ovechkin dynasty that will be coming to an end in the next half decade.

And that’s the thing. They can hate the Rangers all they want, but there is no way you can argue the league has done us ANY favors.

Watch the scout videos @Ola - Turcotte is a great prospect with only 5`11 tall, but he is nowhere near Jack Hughes or Kapo Kakko talent level. Because both are elite talents in consider production in goals and assist compare to Turcotte and he has lower overall score skillset compare to Jack or Kapo and why most experts have him at #5th overall pick or below.

So seriously, can we start a movement of some sort to lobby the Rangers to make sure they pick either Kakko or Hughes? Like, march on 7th Avenue, send letters to Gorton’s house, kidnap Al Trautwig, something?

I’m seriously not going to be able to handle it if they pull a smartest guy in the room move on June 21st. We, the fans, have the power to ensure that doesn’t happen, right?!?!?!?

Congratulations, guys! I hope you get a good one and build a great team. The rivalry is more fun when the teams are good at the same time, only that hasn't happened for decades.

I don't know if Jack Hughes is a slam dunk for 1st overall, but it seems whether you wind with Hughes or Kakko, you're in good shape.

And Arizona was willing to take Smith or shattenkirk in a deal for Kreider centered around the 14OA

Kakko, byram, and move up for a center and build it anew ?

I think getting 2 OA doesn't mean we can transform a team with the least amount of ROW into a contender overnight by spending big money. It's not a created team franchise mode on NHL 19. Let's chill.

Trading away our already good players just puts us further away.

In a world with Kakko, Buch, and Kravtsov on the wings, and quite possibly Chytil and Andersson as well, I’d love to find another center prospect.

Is that feasible? I’m not sure. But yeah, I admit I would move some serious assets to head into that draft with another top 8 pick.
