We are going to to start trading for sex offenders and other misfits…. Maybe sign Formenton, Voinov, and trade for MaillouxDisgusting, there are certain lines one should not cross to achieve success.

If the ducks have offered him the job, then the Samueli’s have already signed off on this.Kinda a weird risk to take from PV/Ana perspective and im not sure that the samuelis would sign off on it...
JQ is going to get a NHL coaching job in the offseason, id just rather it be not with us.
Have we been linked to any other coaches yet?
Yeah, of it goes how it went when Boston signed Mitchell Miller and then had to pay him a settlement to cut ties days later...Jesus.If they hire him, fire him because of public relations backlash, and miss out on a top candidate because of it, it should mean Verbeek’s job.

Okay well that letter of recommendation changes a lot of my feelings about this. That’s trashHe knew about it, wrote Aldrich a recommendation letter, and the guy used that letter to get a high school job where he molested a high school player. Then said he only learned about it through the media.
How about the high school kid that got sexually assaulted because Quenneville helped to cover it up?If Kyle gave him his blessing then this is a non story to me. The victim is the only one he actually needs to make amends to that matter. Everyone else is just fodder.
If that’s true that he has Kyle’s blessing then I am totally okay with this.
Edit:
I used poor wording. It is a story and people will have opinions. But the victims opinion is by far the most important.
I did some more digging. That appears to be in question but had been widely reported. He DID go along with letting him hoist the Cup and get his name on it. I dunno.Okay well that letter of recommendation changes a lot of my feelings about this. That’s trash
also I believe a second Blackhawks player who’s name hasn’t been releasedHow about the high school kid that got sexually assaulted because Quenneville helped to cover it up?
That’s always why the ducks make sense (for Q / league / etc) Less media storm than let’s say the Rangers.I am worried this franchise is not ready for the media storm that will happen once he's hired. Our PR has barely had to deal with anything, ever.
The hoisting cup and name on it more goes along with my original post if ….. this is above my pay grade, you f***ers deal with it, I’ve got a cup to win. Which although not the morally correct thing to do, I understand.I did some more digging. That appears to be in question but had been widely reported. That’s a strawman.I’m fine, duality of man. I don’t want Q. I also don’t think anyone here can cast the first stone. People on this sub, cheat, I’m sure some of you have abused domestic partners either emotionally or physically. That is worse than what Q did in my opinion. I’m sure everyone on this sub, knows someone who has cheated. Did you go tell their partner ? Or did you cover up their crime ?
I know much of the discussion has been about Q, but Seravalli saying he interviewed and they have more interviews to come would seemingly be a bad sign for them hiring Carle, right?
If Carle was the guy, you make him feel like the #1 and go hard after him first. Just like Chicago did.
But their such charitable and generous billionaires… good people like Oprah, DeGeneres, and Cosby. This is just an enormous gamble for the Samuelis. They might be able to get away with it if they win (certainly can’t hold this argument against them anymore).
If they don’t? They’ve permanently altered their reputation for the worst in the eyes of everyone in the local market and many in the league. You better hope it works out
This was an interesting one. Feels like the type of thing that could get Pat onboard
That’s fair, but I think cheating should be a crime.That’s a strawman.
First of all, you have no basis for saying any of that about people on this forum and then say these things are worse than what your buddy “Q” did.
Secondly, knowingly ignoring or covering up sexual abuse is quite different from cheating, which is not a crime and is a false equivalency. And if it involved abuse, I would hope people would not turn a blind eye towards that. I for one would not stay silent if I were aware of an abusive situation.
Don’t know enough to have a strong opinion on that part of it.How about the high school kid that got sexually assaulted because Quenneville helped to cover it up?
No one in the Blackhawks organization or even Aldrich was charged with a crime. But they did cover up and/or ignored what happened to varying degrees. That’s fair, but I think cheating should be a crime.
Edit: and Q wasn’t charged with a crime except in the court of public opinion. Which cheating also is.
