Hey..... I wonder if the Avs could do a Winter Classic jersey that pays homage to the Nordiques old logo.

With the new logo that they have at the top of their website. I have no idea how to do the lettering.

Something like this perhaps?

I did this a few years ago hence the 2014 on the patches, but I'd like to see something like that too.

The only thing I hate is not having Burgandy ar our primary colour. Could somebody try to duplicate the blue jersey but swap all the blue for burgandy and vice versa.

What I have learned from this thread is that the Avs should use a brighter shade of burgundy.

Not a fan of that concept. Too many stripes and the flaming puck looks amateurish. Or worse, roller hockey league.

Most of the designs I like have more white. It makes the burgundy pop out more. I'm not sure it works on the ice though.

The dirty/off/whatever white that a lot of people seem enamoured with is indeed hideous and wouldn't translate very well as the main colour of a jersey.

I actually really like the idea of them...not necessarily the one shown above, but don't think I'd want to see them for 41 games a season. Personally, I'd like the off-white sweater with burgundy lettering "Colorado" written down diagonally across the front. Basically invert the old thirds but use the off/dirty white.

If they do use one of those color schemes though I would hope to see them incorporated as a winter/stadium classic jersey...and depending on how they looked on the ice they could be elevated to a third jersey status. I think it would be cool to have a white (road) alternate jersey instead. Don't think any other team in the league uses their thirds for away games.

Of course, I really would like to see the NHL shift back to whites at home and dark sweaters for the road but that's a whole other conversation.

I would think the folks that live in an NHL market would be more for this idea as it provides more color throughout the season. Isn't kinda boring to go to the rink and always see the same two color combos? Burgundy and White...Wouldn't you rather see a whole load of other colors throughout the season? Besides...everyone knows the good guys wear white.

:dunno: Guess it's just me.

I want to see my team sport their colors -- burgundy and blue.

Visitors can wear the plain old boring white -- they don't matter anyway.

I kinda like our white jersey better and we are one of they few teams that give draft picks white jerseys but I can't really disagree with this.

Also agree there shouldn't have to be forced color vs white.
