Everyone can put together the why...and everyone understands 300m vs 50m homes...but AEW is ingrained as the Wednesday show, not NXT...this has to be viewed as a massive fail

I don't know if I believe he's on the payroll, I see it as he knows ppl inside WWE are feeding him lies to report and look bad so he sways towards the fed that doesn't do that...idk maybe I'm naive...just how I see it

My 2 cents is it's one of 2 things and maybe a combo of both,

1. Dave has always been a fan of the Japanese style of wrestling and AEW tries to mimic that so AEW doing good sort of re-inforces his personal beliefs.

2. He is pandering to a fanbase who will buy his stuff

The last point here is probably the real truth. AEW fans are the types of fans who buy his stuff and he knows EXACTLY who they are and how he can alienate them and lose their business, so he treads carefully and puts a positive spin on things that'll hold onto or increase those subs within that group.

AEW really has to think outside the box for these 2 shows. You can get a similar rating for a test pattern. My 2 cents is it seems woman's matches drag down dynamite, so give the females their own show, they can't really do much worse then Rampage or Collision
Rampage is being cancelled. Not sure what they are doing with Collision yet, but sounds like it will continue on Saturdays.

I dont think he is on the payroll, but i do think it's a mix of AEW giving him more of the style of wrestling he prefers, and the fact he just gets way more access with AEW.

He claims Tony has reached out to him about booking advice. Tony being so proud of winning Obeservor Booker of the Year. Bucks naming moves after him.

It makes him feel respected and important, which is something Dave has always wanted, so I think he has a soft spot for the company there. WWE doesn't respect Dave and he very much knows it.

Though all the dirt sheet and online personalities carry water for whatever company is giving them more access at the moment along with pandering to whomever thr audience hates that given week

I doubt this is the case simply because Dave was an AEW mark well before he was getting purposely fed bad WWE info.

I don't think he's on the payroll though.

I think he's just in love with the AEW/NJPW style and is a total fanboy pandering to his audience now.
