The fact remains that the two huge blown calls turned the series. One, specifically, that led to a goal and a huge momentum swing. The other thing that people fail to realize is that the Rangers game is predicated upon speed and offensive zone attack, which was COMPLETELY nullified by the ridiculous amount of obstruction and interference the kings got away with. The kings led for a grand total of approx. 40 minutes in this 5 game series, of which, contained 2 double overtimes an on single overtime. I hardly call that dominating, even with help from the refs and the linesmen. By the by, what is up with all the BS icing calls?
The icing calls were the most frustrating for me.

In the third periods of Games 1 & 5 the Kings kicked it up to another level that the Rangers weren't able to match. Excluding that (which is by no means fair) the play was pretty level.

Mark my words, it won't happen. We will get the referee screw job over and over. We got downright molested in the last two rounds. No matter what we did, the call was on us and not our opponents. Today Mazzen should've been called for at least a minor, maybe a major, and certainly a suspension. Instead, it was a call against us and the game was tied.

In Game 2, same thing: Lundqvist gets tackled as if he's a quarterback getting sacked, yet the goal counted. Same in several Montreal games.

Refs 1 : Rangers 0.

Yeah, Bettman doesn't want one of the biggest hockey markets in the league to buy up millions in champions merch and expand even larger with more fans.

There was a lot of bad ref calls in these playoffs in several series not just against the Rangers. It is horrible that the refs played such a large roll in games 2 and 5 but this conspiracy talk against Bettman is ridiculous. He was commish when the Rangers won in 1994. Why wouldn't he want NY to win. We look lame blaming Bettman for the refs bad calls. Those calls are on the refs. Nobody else. There is no grand conspiracy. If there was we would not be in the Cup finals to begin with.

I don't understand, if people don't like the thread, don't read it.

It's silly and makes us look sad. There is no conspiracy. I don't know why everything needs to be a conspiracy when incompetency is usually the root of the problem.

The concern is that others will read it and think it reflects the views of Ranger fans as a whole.

That would be generalizing, and that is against the forum rules, no? LOL! Seriously though, i don't think anyone meant that there is some grand "active" conspiracy. I think it is more a case of dislike for New York and INDIVIDUALS let their biases creep in. I mean these losers aren't smart enough to pull off something like that.

Look, Bettman hates us and most of HFboards hates us, but the refs just plain suck. It's incompetence, not a conspiracy.

Sidenote: The universal Rangers hate amazes me. People find a way to blame us for everything. They blame the Rangers for spending too much money and thus causing the lockouts as if Florida/Phoenix/Carolina/etc would otherwise turn massive profits. They blame us for being boring even though we were really fun to watch this year under Vigneault. They blame us for Lundqvist being our best player as if having the best goalie in the world is somehow cheating. They blame us for getting lots of media attention as if it's novel for a team with a massive following to receive a large amount of coverage.

Montreal fan in peace.

NYC and its amazing people is one of the greatest places on Earth.

Your team was great. Be proud.

As a Hab fan, I personally have issues with one and only 1 single NYR player. (Guess who? its not McD, either)

Don't worry about other fans talking trash online... it what the Web is for. :)
