I’m excited to see if Strome can keep building on his performance against the Devils. Guy has been so good for us since we got him. Another great trade by Gorton.

There's guys that are bad every night but that's ok because it's just established that they're bad.

I mean, I get it, but I don't get it.

At this point of the season with no chance of playoffs, it’s more about player development. Don’t think he should be scratched after a couple of meh games, but if Quinn is scratching everyone who is underperforming, well that’s more than half the team.

So maybe its more like, “I know you have played well this season but did not like some things in the last couple of games so take a night off to think about it?” I dunno at this point.

I feel like at a certain point though you're going to reach the point of diminishing returns with the healthy scratches. How many times can it be effective for a guy like DeAngelo who seems to have finally broken through and has performed as a top pair D for the last 20 or so games?

It's one thing when it's used sporadically as a teaching tool, but at what point do you overplay your hand with it? I think you have to be careful with how many times you use it. Not saying we're there yet, but it seems like an off time to scratch TDA.

He's been very good for a while, among the top NHL D overall in points the last month. Looked good in both ends.

Oh I agree , think he should be playing the rest of the season. Pissed about Hajek going down with an injury and wanted to see him the final stretch also. Look at Andersson, he has not shown a reason for him not to be scratched but he is still young and there is time. But I feel ADA has made that transition and has earned the right to play out the season. Am I wrong? I usually am so it’s all good, lol.

Typical Quinn up to his old antics. Lias is understandable but seriously Deangelo?
What the hell does this guy gotta do to not get scratched, be Bobby Orr?

Quinn bag skates two guys and scratches them.....maybe, just maybe....he has a reason that you don't know about. Crazy, I know....like how could he sit ADA without letting you know why?

Whether it’s “rotation just to get other guys in” it shouldn’t be Tony coming out. He should be permanently in the lineup.

Pionk should be be sitting to “rotate other guys in” before Tony. It’s just not fair if we’re doing this all merit based.

Pionk, Smith, Freddy should be rotating in the bottom pair. Staal, Tony, Brady and Shatty should be in every game.

Maybe Tony did or said something deemed immature and detrimental. It is in his history you know.

I'm sure our coach will provide a reason during his media briefing. When hasn't he?
Maybe he said to Quinn.... something like; "I just don't see why you don't pair me with Marc", and call it a day.

Looking at DEA stats, he’s been very good, no question, and has been one of the bright spots with this horrible D core. So him coming out only makes sense if they are trying to tank. They are not trying to tank so it makes no sense.
