I know the feeling. I want to see development, but, I want as much of a chance to get as much high end talent as possible. And, yet, there’s no guarantee the player the Rangers take at 6th would be different from the player they take at 9th, for all we know. So, this may just be an exercise in futility regardless.

I guess when it comes down to it, I know I really want Hughes, Kakko, Byram and Cozens, in that order. And whether or not the Rangers would take the latter two, I want the illusion that it’s possible.

It’s still early.

But there are some guys who are really good AAAA players who just can’t bridge that gap.

You don’t see it quite as often as you used to, or as dramatically, but it happens.
