Thankfully, this is ONE PLAYER that I wasnt fooled about. I wanted his success here, but ONLY because he became a Ranger and felt that I would be beating my head against the wall in doing such.......I am sooooo sorry that I was right. I hate to be RIGHT in negative thoughts. Wish it were different, but all in all he is indeed helping the cause here. Wow, I guess he does love his Rangers.......and willing to get chastized for the longtime, long range success of his lifelong favorite team.

Haha yea I didn’t want the Rangers to sign him because I felt he would take away time from Pionk/DeAngelo. And I was right. But I mean, most people could have predicted that anyways. However, what I didn’t predict was how bad his downfall would be. I wasn’t high on him, but I still thought he would be a good player for us. It was supposed to be such a storybook ending. Shattenkirk, with McDonagh by his side, would lead his childhood team to Stanley Cup glory. And then everything that could go wrong, went wrong. We missed the playoffs for the first time in years, and it was so bad, the Rangers were forced to rebuild. Damn. I feel kind of bad for the dude, but that “discount” he gave us isn’t looking like one now lol
