The Playoff Push, Tanking and Scoreboard Watching Thread

Vegas should want the Blues because of what Snubbed posted; backing in. The Wild have Kappy back and the Flames are hot.
Im not really sure how the flames are hot? Theyve won 2 in a row with one being a key victory vs minnesota and 3 of last 4, but 2 of those were vs sanjose.

They won 4 of 7 in the month of april.

They won 5 of their last 10. 8 of their last 16. 9 of their last 18. They have some loser points added on in that stretch but this isnt some torrid stretch and thats why the blues caught and passed them in the first place

They havent really been that hot. The blues just lost 3 in a row.

Perhaps hot is inaccurate, but they’ve certainly not gone away.

If Snuggy gets his first goal this game, I think we win it.

That's my high bar, no stats informed, gutt feel take.
I’ll give you a gut feel!

Vegas is resting a good chunk of guys, but I do think the players dressed will be bringing it. They can clinch home for potential Dallas or Toronto series by earning 1 standings point and they could still catch Washington to earn home ice for a series against them. Not massively important considerations, but they are great at home and it's not nothing. You also never love to lose to a team that you might be facing in the opening round 5 days later. Obviously the talent in the press box is a big part of what makes them a really good team, but I do think that they guys in the lineup will be doing more than a light cardio session tonight.

Vegas is starting their backup. Eichel, Stone, Pietrangelo, and Hanifin also won't play. Still a decent lineup for Vegas but not really better than the Flames tbh. Blues gotta beat Utah, we can't count on Vegas and LA when they will be resting their best.
